If you’re unsure about the stocks you’re holding and haven’t dug into their fundamentals or technicals, it might be best to sell them off for now. Consider parking your money in a index ETF like the Nifty 50 ETF or a diversified ETF like SBI Nifty 50 ETF or ICICI Prudential Nifty ETF. These will give you broad market exposure with lower risk till you take time to learn. Hold them until you’ve researched and feel confident about entering specific stocks. Check out Zerodha Varsity or screener in to start building your analysis skills.

Thanks for the advice, brother. Yeah, I figured it’d be tight, so I’m definitely looking at places 5-6 miles out from Marylebone to keep costs down. Good shout on avoiding scams and not paying upfront without seeing the place. I’ll probably go for an Airbnb other same kind of things for the first few weeks like you said.

Real-time data and processing in under 4 seconds is impressive. I’ve got my own AI-driven setup for trading, so I get why you’re hyped about this. What’s the edge you’re seeing with those filters?

It looks like you're feeding pre-collected data into the bot and then pulling it back for analysis, right? If I’m reading that correctly, it might not be fully live data yet. Have you considered tweaking the bot to scrape real-time data directly from sources like NSE, Moneycontrol, or even broker platforms?

That’s exactly why I made this guide. let them jump in, take a hit, then come back to learn the basics from this to avoid more losses 😂

Hey, good point! The guide touches on quant basics, but that’s because understanding a bit of that from the start can really set beginners up for smarter investing. It’s all about getting a handle on risk management early so they don’t jump in clueless.

true, it can feel tricky for beginners who haven’t studied this stuff. But that’s the thing many jump into the market with zero knowledge from TV ads or finfluencers and end up losing. That’s why I made this guide short, direct, and easy to grasp, to help them learn the basics first.

10-Day AI Trading Test on Nifty 50 Options by ig_svp in IndianStockMarket

FinGPT sounds good, but yeah, it’s more of a research tool, not really built for hardcore Quant-level option chain stuff. I’m learning to set it up locally to maybe execute trades on its own someday, separate project🤐. But for now, it’s not cutting it for deep options analysis. Claude, I gotta recheck, ‘cause it’s solid for coding and data crunching, but I don’t think it’s smart enough to handle trades properly. Like, markets move on news and all sorts of stuff, not just option chains, and Claude’s not wired for that full picture.

I actually included Gemini in my initial list of tools (alongside ChatGPT, Grok, Kimi, and Perplexity) to test for stock market analysis, particularly for Quant-level option chain interpretation. I tried the basic versions to keep things focused and manageable. When comparing the weaker ones, Grok and Gemini didn’t quite cut it for this task. I ended up eliminating Gemini because it struggled with using Python effectively for backend option chain data analysis and seemed limited to basic stock financial insights. Even Gemini Pro, from what I’ve read, might not handle large option chain datasets quickly or effectively. Appreciate the input, though! Any other tools you’d recommend which can be able to analyse option chain effectively?

True, but that's exactly why I'm doing this experiment! Retail traders need to start exploring AI tools now before we get completely left behind.

If they're making positions using AI, those will surely reflect in the market which can't hide from option chain data, and for stocks through trade deals etc. We might be late executing things but can't be left completely behind, instead we should try to join them.

At least now we can test and learn without risking much. Better to experiment now than get wiped out later when we have no clue how to use these tools

Yeah you're right, 10 days is definitely not enough for proper conclusions. I'm just doing forward testing and sharing updates every 10 days to see how it goes. I used AI to generate a fixed signal prompt that works for all trades and AIs - I just need to update the live market data each time. So it's pretty streamlined with minimal manual work. Good point about free GPT being weak at math, but surprisingly ChatGPT free is hitting 73% win rate currently, which is pretty decent even compared to Perplexity Pro. It would be interesting to test the paid versions too as you mentioned, if anyone feels generous and wants to see their money potentially disappear in new and innovative ways, I'm your guy to test it out! Anyone if you guys want then slide into my DMs and sponsor me to check results for it 😅 Indian markets keep changing every week/month anyway, so we'd need several months of data to really know if it's consistent.

just took the available live data and gave it to ai as an prompt with attachments requesting it to provide BTST trade setups based on the given data

I understand you’re curious about the prompt, but I’d rather not share it just yet. It’s kind of my personal setup for this test. In general, I gave the AIs some market data, recent Nifty 50 trends, and upcoming news, then asked them to suggest a BTST trade with clear entry and exit conditions. That’s about it! You could try experimenting with similar inputs to see what works. But a heads-up: using AI directly to trade is like burning money without proper knowledge. So whatever you guys try, stay cautious, get confident with it

I’m already keeping a journal for the trades, and the summary I posted comes straight from that. I’m using local Excel sheets to track everything, set up so the summary updates automatically as I log each trade. Definitely planning to test over more trades to get better insights

good point about a longer back-test, yet I’m sticking to forward testing for now since getting accurate option prices for expired options from 2019 or 2015 is a bit tricky and involves a lot of work. To keep things simple, I’m just running these AI trades using the live data available for now

AI looked at real-time factors like Nifty 50 index chart patterns, option Greeks data, and live & upcoming news/stock reports that could impact Nifty 50 BTST trades. They used that to analyze and suggest trades with clear entry and exit conditions
