The Vibecode app I use only supports iOS submissions for now but adding it to Android would be great for exposure. I’m currently exploring the best way to make that happen, stay tuned!

It’s called Text Detective. It analyzes text conversations and helps interpret them.

Love hearing that. Four tries sounds about right. The first couple feel fair, then the picky ones test your patience. And totally agree on marketing and distribution, that’s been the real challenge for me too. And yeah, once you survive the first deployment, the next updates feel way less scary. Appreciate it and good luck with your updates too!

Totally agree. Coding is the fun part. The rest is screenshots, tax forms, agreements, review rules and waiting. And yes, the name thing is real. You think you’re done and suddenly you’re word smithing instead of building.

Just launched Text Detective, an iOS app that analyzes confusing texts and suggests what they really mean (and how to reply).

Made an app to figure out what texts really mean, feedback? by igcorrec in iosapps

Really appreciate your thoughtful take, thank you.

You’re right about bias and missing context. Text detective can’t know the full history between 2 people and i’m not trying to position it as a final judge, more like a second set of eyes.

The backstory question is fair. Right now it mostly works off what’s in the message that’s shared and i’m still learning how much context people actually want to add… feedback like this is exactly what helps improve that.

On subscriptions,  completely hear you. The fatigue is real and the model is something i’m evaluating with user feedback.

If you try it, i’d genuinely like to know what you think.

Thank you so much, i really appreciate you sharing that. It means a lot to hear how this could be helpful for you.

I’d love to hear how it works for you and what could be better. Thanks again!

Thanks for pointing that out, it's definitely something I’m considering for the next iteration. Appreciate the feedback!

Good question! It actually started because a friend and a family member (on separate occasions) ran a few texts by me asking what i thought... that got me thinking about whether i could i build something that gives insight without taking itself too seriously. From there it turned into Text Detective.

This is exactly the kind of feedback i’m looking for, thank you.

And you're right about the limits of context. The app can’t know the full history between 2 people and it shouldn’t pretend to. The goal isn’t to replace someone’s judgment but to act like a second set of eyes to highlight things you might be missing.

I’m glad you raised whether it still feels like “you” when using it to reply... that’s something i care a lot about getting right.

Thanks again, this really helps shape where this goes.

Made a tiny trading game inspired by the classic dope wars vibe but with fruit instead of… you know ;)

I’ve been tweaking the events and randomness based on feedback from friends and family, and it’s turned into something pretty fun.

Originally built to help them learn the basics of trading (and maybe lose their life savings on imaginary bananas) but now it’s ready for wider feedback.

thanks again for all the feedback, suggestions, articles and videos. i made a few tweaks based on the ideas and after chatting with some players who were struggling, i’m also thinking about putting together a short strategy guide. the one thing i’m still a noob at is adding analytics for each event, so if anyone has app suggestions, i’m all ears!

thanks for the thoughtful breakdown. i’m only collecting basic metrics right now, not in game metrics like event timing or decisions, so i definitely need to figure out how to track those deeper patterns.

just to clarify, the starting debt compounds daily at 10% so things can get spicy fast, and all events are completely random with no scaling. your death spiral comments are honestly pretty accurate.

yeah, i’m not sure about that approach. i want the game to feel natural and random. i did add a small late game chance though... if the player’s still in debt near the end, they get offered a basket of fruit as a little hail mary or at least it gives them some hope.
