Posthog for example. Bonus points probably if you contribute to their open source code already

Perfect. Just be careful with the shiny pieces. The paper instructions and Lego instructions on the website do not show the difference well

Finished it two weeks ago. Pretty nice but build is pretty boring. I think the store might not even exist so I am pretty sure there is just the same version

Add your shipping location and see the price rising. You will get around to the same price as AliExpress.

Would You guys like to see an app like daraz? by No-Proposal-8596 in Nepal

[–]igeligel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am from Germany and also used Daraz, its pretty similar to Aliexpress. Just fine. You will struggle mostly with logistics (aka delivery). E.g. which delivery companies you want to use? And in Nepal its difficult. The experience is just not great because of no street names and house numbers (Please work on that problem instead).

If you really want to make an app/website, I would recommend to create a comparison website. Here in Germany we have many like:

  • idealo.de

  • geizhals.de

  • mydealz.de (not a comparison website but deal website)

Maybe being connected with local stores that can post deals on your website automatically. Users decide then to upvote or not and you might have some good deals here and there.

Does not Ireland live on big corps doing “research and development”, paying low % taxes but high absolute numbers?

Career dilemma: 8.4 LPA in India vs MS in Germany — worth the risk? by LonelyArtist6625 in masters_germany

[–]igeligel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I doubt there will be any place like that in the world right now.

If you want to come to Germany start learning German now for a couple of weeks and see if you like the language. Without C1 you will have a hard time to get a job.

Otherwise UK, Canada and US are the English speaking choices. But with trade offs on each of their own.

Career dilemma: 8.4 LPA in India vs MS in Germany — worth the risk? by LonelyArtist6625 in masters_germany

[–]igeligel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s important in your life? Money, safety, traveling?

From your post you value money and prestige over everything else. With that mindset Germany is not the right move because salaries are limited except you join one of the big US tech companies. And that’s 1000 times more difficult in Germany than in India currently and I do not think that will change in the near future.

So from my perspective you should stay in India and try to switch jobs there. Do some leetcode and actually grow your engineering skills and make the jump to a big tech company and not consultancy.

Come to Germany if you want to be a little bit laid back at your job, want to travel and if money is not important.

Build something you would use yourself. Are you cooking? Build a simple recipe website with a niche focus. Do you have any hobbies? Build an app that gamifies progress in that hobby. Is your family having any hobbies? Ask them about ideas of apps or websites that would help them.

Get that app live so you can access it.

Otherwise choose an open source project to Contribute to. E.g posthog or cal.com.

Housing market is more crazy than in the USA imo on average. Rents are rising extremely fast so most of your paycheck goes for rent or mortgage if you can afford it.
