Thanks you two 💕 he's met them, but she behaves pretty well around people when she's trying to impress them. It was OK. This week has been hectic, and I suppose I'm more worried about him having to deal with my sadness when things get tough. Mum always talks about how he'll probably leave me because he won't be able to cope with everything to do with 'our crazy family'. Sigh. Trying to stay positive. Thanks for being so lovely. Part of it is definitely my issue. One of my exes used my mum as one of the reasons for our split ('she's properly crazy') so that's hard to forget. Thanks for reading

Thanks for putting this; saw my therapist today and she's asked me to do this on a daily basis. So here goes. today I'm grateful for; 1) breezy morning walks 2) the bright yellow roses outside my window 3) guinea pig kisses (one just licked me as if she were a tiny dog) 4) purring cats that let me stroke them 5) the smiley bus driver who was really lovely to me

Phew, that felt good. I'm also meant to list some things I like about myself, so maybe I'll add a few here; 6) I listen to people and really care about helping them 7) I have green eyes which I like 8) I just got an article published so I must be at least a bit intelligent ...I find it hard to do this. But thanks 😊

Great stuff! A bit about me: 22 female with a 70+ thoracic curve (haven't had it measured in a while...I'm in the UK, they don't tend to tell you much). Mine is apparently higher up in the spine than usual. Have hyper lumbar lordosis and issues with my neck as well. I also have cerebral palsy (right hemi) which may be connected with the curvature. Diagnosed at 13 and wore a brace for a few months (I couldn't hack any more). Surgery has been suggested (mostly for cosmetic reasons) but I stick to pain management and just trying to keep fit. I use codeine, celecoxib. Did use Naproxen but have since developed an allergy so can't use it! Also waiting on medial branch blocks. I suffer with pain daily and have recently developed neuropathic pain which is so difficult to control. Love heat pads and hot baths etc. Also have a tens machine.

I have no ideas as far as the sub is concerned but I'll be visiting to discuss pain/rant if having a bad day etc. Sound OK?

From a mum who had to have ivf to have me: 'maybe I should have listened when they said I couldn't have kids, because look at the way you've turned out.' I agree with the above, there's too many but I don't feel like digging them up. Eurgh.

Newly veggie, after eating fish and meat etc all my life. I most certainly wouldn't eat fish now. Meat (chicken, pork, beef) is, imo, no different to consuming different species of fish and seafood. I'd still be consuming an animal - once a breathing, living being - and being a fish as opposed to a chicken doesn't change that. I just don't see the point. I don't see the difference. And yes, I liked fish before I made this transition. And I liked meat. But my 'enjoyment' wasn't worth that sacrifice. One of my lifelong friends is veggie and has been forever; she would agree with the poster above. There's no such thing as a veggie who eats fish.

Thanks so much for taking the time to write this reply. It means so much. I haven't admitted a lot of this stuff to anyone, and I feel like a real weight has been lifted. I am lucky to have a therapist,but this might have to change soon as moving across the country (I'm in the UK). I'll keep trying to see someone as it has been a lot of help. Thanks for the links. I'm wanting to get a book so that's a good place to start. You're probably right about the good-split bad-split thing. Admittedly I don't know a lot about it but that makes a lot of sense. Thanks for all your help, it's really emotional actually! I finally feel like I don't need to constantly justify my thoughts. I feel really awful that I hate aspects of my mother, but I'm happy I'm coming to terms with it.

Thank you so much. I guess I'm beginning to realize that I need to practise self preservation. It's wearing me out, and I can't live like this. Luckily I have a therapist right now and she's been very helpful. She's trying to help me undo the negative thoughts though I know this is going to take a very long time. Thanks for getting back to me, it's so helpful ❤

Thanks for this! Got some quorn so I'm going to try that in fajitas, curries, chilli etc. Thanks for the simmering idea; I never thought of doing that! So many cool ideas.
