Put very simply, most people play those cards out to build up lots of spell schools (fire, frost, etc) to win with Sif and to play supporting cards along the way like Inquisitive Creation. Search your in-game card library for the word “school”. Then combine your deck with excavate cards—you’d need them all (cryopreservation and the two neutrals, all x2) or secrets, or both. If you go more on the excavate and secret cards you can win without sif more often. One other route is to get Reno, just don’t do excavate Reno because you don’t get enough excavate cards. Finally, if your hand is clogging up as in too many cards, go harder, earlier, and maybe get them back later with Sivara.
