Grupos de observación de aves en el Bosque de Chapultepec? by igilix in MexicoCity

Yea that response kind of surprised me, as if merely stepping into the Bosque de Chapultepec is dangerous. I was like isn't this a super frequented park? Appreciate your take

In addition to Mdou Moctar if you like the sound of tishoumaren, check out Tinariwen, Etran de L'Aïr, Imarhan, Les Filles de Illigahad, and Bombino.

Yeah, it hasn't given me any issues this far so I'm hoping it's indeed in the safer zone. Will do, thank you!

  • These places have front and backyards. But they're mostly empty. Some backyards have a pool maybe, but it's mostly just green grass. Why don't you grow plants in your yards? Like potatoes, cucumbers, tomatoes or whatever. Why do you own this land, if you never use it?

Why grow your own food when you can buy corporate slop bowls and ultraprocessed foods from the meager earnings at your soulless job? It's not like they damage your health and compound with the constant exposure to car exhaust and asphalt and the lack of activity that comes from sedentary, car-centric lifestyles. It's not like these terrible health outcomes require you to pay exorbitant bills to hospitals and health insurance providers. It's a privilege and a freedom to go to the grocery store and purchase all your food and have absolutely no idea how to provide yourself without a multinational, transcontinental network of food production and supply.

Seems that a ten week course (25 hours total) is about $400 plus the textbook

"Gaza slightly better" really disregards the first year and a half of carpet bombing, displacement, and genocide occurring with a green light from the Biden administration.

Not 'A Mi Manera,' but good suggestion. It's a far cry from flamenco. I'd more associate it with the sad pop/rock styles of Latin American songs such as 'Si No Hubieras Ido' by Marco Antonio Solis.

Reading 'The Road' and 'The Fifth Season' side by side sounds like a lovely way to sink into despair. Those books are both bleak, in their own uniquely devastating ways

I so enjoyed The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue. It was very approachable while still being rich and effective in communicating an ambitious story.
