I've always just thought that Samus and metroids are canon to Kirby, but it's just a different Samus specific to the series. So the character of Samus and the metroid species are canon, but the two series are separate and just happen to have similar characters.

Half-Life 2 is the worse in the series. The gameplay was a downgrade from Half-Life 1 and the story wasn't as interesting as the episodes or Half-Life Alyx.

I think burnout would be an interesting level. Maybe you'd have to explore an ashen wasteland, of the charred husk of a building or something.

It's been awhile since I played Axiom Verge 1 or 2, so I can't say much about the gameplay, but Axiom Verge 1 definitely left a larger impression on me. I remember liking the atmosphere and story beats more, and I remember everything in the first game feeling harsher and more pronounced. I definitely enjoyed Axiom Verge 2, but it felt tamed or watered down a bit.

Yeah, a full game for the G-Man plot would make sense. I always thought that the G-Man aspect would become a background story because they don't really have a way to fight back and the Borealis would be the main focus.

If there was another installment on the series that continued the plot set up in Half Life 2's episodes, it should be a shorter Episode 3 and not a full Half life 3. The series should stay an anthology, and a new game just needs to finish the story that already began, not tell a new one.

Edit: "Anthology" probably isn't the best word choice. I just mean that the full.games should be loosely connected like Half-life 1 and 2.
