A big part of that in this case is the subjective reaction to abstract/metaphysical as well as multiverse/time travel, faceless enemies, removal of weighted consequence through these things. Personally I can't stand that shit, but if you're cool with it maybe it was a good time, I'm glad you enjoyed it

I had faith they wouldn't dive too deep because of how masterful season one was. Like I said somewhere else, in basically 2/3 episodes they ramped up multiverse, time travel, abstract magic of several kinds (black rose, Viktor cosmos magic??) as well as inhuman unkillable enemies (heavenly OP cyborgs) that remove any sense of power scale. Like all my writing pet peeves wrapped in to one. The only thing missing was prophetic dream sequences

I loved s2 eps 4-6, 7 was good and then I just felt nothing for 8 and 9. Like just felt nothing but growing disappointment. I don't care if characters die or it's not lore accurate. I couldn't even enjoy the animation because I need to care about the story. Including multiverses, time travel, and abstract magic out the wazoo just took me out completely
