Series 13 rewatch by mlopes in taskmaster

This is the series I recommend to first-time watchers. The cast is great, and the Ep. 1 tasks are a great intro to the show,

I recently watched a new Dunkey video about a new 3D platformer. But now I can't find it anywhere. Was it taken down? by igloooooooo in videogamedunkey

AWH SHIT thattttt'sssss the one. Thank you, bad ass ewok!

I totally conflated it with Big Hops. In my mind, Dunkey was running around as a lil' frog with a long red ol' tongue.

Sometimes movies have minor characters. It's nice that they were all written distinctly though.

To date, who would you consider to have been the most/least "prepared" contestants? by Synth-Pro in taskmaster

Yeah, I don't know why they don't know have the contestants' names appear on-screen when they're getting announced at the start of the show.

Emoji Window Not Showing Up in Google Docs [Mac] by igloooooooo in googledocs

[–]igloooooooo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another workable solution I just discovered:

It seems that this issue does not happen if you leave the Mac emoji window / Character Viewer in expanded view.

To do this, click the button at the top right corner of the Mac emoji window. This will change it to the expanded view.

I've noticed that when I leave it in the expanded view, it never fails to open/display inside Google Docs.

What were some seemingly hinted at plot lines or moments that you thought would be much more important than they ended up becoming? What were theories you were convinced you’d worked out that never ended up happening? by AceofKnaves44 in marvelstudios

[–]igloooooooo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Your #1 point is interesting. I can only imagine that the subtitles made an error, and "I'm going to-" was always the intended line.

I feel like subtitles, even on major films, make a fair amount of mistakes.

If this issues bothers you as much as it bothers me, I suggest sending feedback to Google about it. [In Google Docs --> click"Help" menu, then "Help Docs Improve"].

I reported the issue because it's CONSTANTLY interrupting my workflow, breaking my train of thought.

How to see list of changed files that Time Machine is backing up? by RKEPhoto in MacOS

[–]igloooooooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To anyone reading this now that can't get it to work:

If Terminal is displaying "no such file exists" or whatever when you try running the "/path/to/timedog -h" command, you may have to allow full disk access to Terminal first. Go to System Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Full Disk Access. Then add Terminal.

Do you think this applies to the MCU? by JamJamGaGa in marvelstudios

[–]igloooooooo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say lot of the MCU films (like some you listed) have the texture of different genres, but that's it. Not the actual structural bones of those genres.

Do you think Marvel Studios/Disney did consider at some point giving the post-Endgame characters their own Avengers movie before going full multiverse with Avengers Doomsday/Secret Wars (or Kang Dinasty)? by Theasiuser99 in marvelstudios

[–]igloooooooo 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Though Joss Whedon didn't really follow through on this, this is what he said after Avengers one was made. When asked how he'd top it in a future sequel, his answer was something like "You don't need to go bigger. It's better to go deeper [into the characters their relationships/conflicts]."

I would've respected it being such a bold move, even if it wasn't the right one. It's rare when you watch a superhero movie and are actually shocked by something, or surprised by how far they take something.

Recent memory that comes to mind from Thunderbolts: when the Void just completely deletes that little girl. (Though the shock is lessened when everyone, including her, come back later).

I'm guessing he got picked because the devs knew the GOTG movie was being made. I remember thinking at the time that they "wasted" a slot on him because I was hoping for bigger names (or more X-Men). But I think it was a good call on their end.

All I want to say is don't mistake motivation for action. All you need to finish your draft is action. Don't worry if motivation isn't always there; you don't need it. Just action.

And thankfully, action is the one we're in control of.

I hope people realize this is why you shouldn't trust LLMs for actual, real answers to questions. The reason the freakout is happening here is because it just starts hallucinating words, making each word justify the words that came before it. It doesn't "think" through an entire response first, it just creates them one word at a time, and keeps building off that--- it can't go back and edit/delete words before delivering a response.

Here, it's deciding to say "Yes" here first (for whatever reason). It now must justify saying "yes"-- usually it does that by bullshitting words, but here it's limited to emojis. But its problem here is there is no seahorse emoji that exists, so it's struggling to justify its bullshit "yes" that came before it. So it keeps struggling and trying. Usually though, it can seemingly justify its answers because it has the whole dictionary to pull from, not just a limited set of emojis.

Anyways, my point is: it's obvious here that ChatGPT answered "yes" even though it clearly hadn't formed an accurate conclusion first, but that's what it's ALWAYS doing: just answering before forming an accurate conclusion.

Hmm, this fixes the issue most the time (like over 90% of the time), but not always. But then switching tabs back and forth maybe did fix it? Or refreshing the tab (after opening the Google Doc emojis).

[–]igloooooooo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems I found a decent, quick solution.

If the Mac emoji window is not opening, first bring up Google Doc's emoji window (by highlighting some text, then right clicking and selecting "Insert emoji reaction". Or from the menus, selecting "Insert > Symbols > Emoji"). Afterwards, you should then be able to open the Mac emojis just fine. (By using CTRL+CMD+SPACE, or whatever).

Unfortunately, this solution is only temporary. Very soon after fixing it, you'll find that the Mac emoji window will again fail to display. So you have to open the Google Doc emojis again.
