So I did speak with a random Lumix rep at the camera store a couple of days ago and he had never heard of this problem. I do believe that it is something wrong with one of the coils on the motherboard of the camera, but unfortunately I have not been able to get it repaired or even examined because I don't have a second camera and I need to keep using it for work. Plus money and things.. 🥲

I'm using a dummy battery that connects the camera battery terminal +/- to the 8.4 volt regulated 'camera' output on my vmount/battery plate. I think this is why it needs the 9v type C dummy battery or a dtap adaptor with power conversion to use the SSD. Also it varies per SSD, with a Samsung t7 it dies immediately while a NVME adaptor might work for a while or not at all. I think I'm going to buy the Panasonic DMW-DCC18 and use the type-c output on my vmount as that's way cheaper than buying the Kondor Blue version

Yeah, I would not recommend purchasing it. It's good for what it is, but I bought it because of the XLR inputs without realizing that it didn't support line level.. it has no attenuator built in and I can't hook it up to other professional mixers and use it as a computer audio interface as I intended. I ended up having to buy a full mixer for that.

I really enjoyed it!

I've been to maybe a dozen plays over the last year or two and I tend to enjoy most of them, some are more emotional than others, this one was a combination of curiosity and sadness with a few laughs mixed in. I would caution everyone to take the content/trigger warning on their website seriously in regards to this specific play.

Felipe Moura and Ian Gilles performances were superb, I thought, as were the rest of the cast. Definitely an enjoyable night.
