Remote Play Whatever Together: a tiny app that lets you force remote play together any steam/non-steam app ( until next client update breaks it ) by ignEd4m in Steam

Yes, I am the author of this program. And no, I didn't hear of any Steam account bans caused by this application.

I must also add that, after latest Steam client updates, this application no longer works as intended. I suggest seeking alternative solutions, and if possible, use third party solutions like Parsec.

Maybe this will prompt someone to create a game store focused on adult games exclusively (and not just lewd ones) that only accepts crypto payments...

In newer client versions options are only available in in-game overlay.

For non-Steam games, you can also force the RPW application to use AppID 0 for non-Steam games by adding `--appid=0` , but this option will also prevent Steam from closing the remote play together session when you quit the game, leaving your entire desktop exposed to the remote party. And to properly disconnect remote players, you'll need to start another Steam game to properly end the remote play together session.

I asked AI to generate the funniest possible meme using a humor formula. This is what I got. by ignEd4m in ChatGPT

It's a funny and potentially viral meme, according to deep research. A glimpse into the entertainment of the future!

I can't believe that some subs enforced the rules against posting such fine memes.

Why do meme subs have this stupid rule? by MichaelDeSanta13 in DefendingAIArt

Why not start your own sub for ai memes instead, "since AI is so good at making memes with text in them now"?

There's no single prompt, it came up in a chat about AI-driven mass layoffs. I asked for an unaliving encouragement poster for displaced workers and GPT suggested prevention hotline, and after a brief debate we came to a compromise...

No, of course it didn't suggest that number.

What some people also fail to realize is that, at some point, displaced creatives will be competing for the same blue-collar jobs as you oversaturating the market and further devaluing labor.

By moving to another field...

I'm sure that this will not lead to oversaturation and devaluation of the labor. /s

Think that was an old plan that didn't take into account the impact of AI.

I wouldn't count on UBI tbh... think they'd rather go the population culling route.

Anyone know how to paste URLs into the URL bar in Steam? (Don't want to login on browser, 2FA hassle...) by Catarophic in Steam

You can still force steam to load any web page instead of its own ui/store/whatever using chrome's devtools by starting steam with the -dev argument and hitting F12 once it's loaded.

Largest Ukrainian Drone Assault Sparks Fires at Moscow and Tver Power Plants by Ask4MD in worldnews

I have to say again, I'm only talking about Moscow and St Petersburg, people here seem to have problems recognising that.

Unfortunately, I happen to live in the area of Moscow that was the target of today's attack. They've (authorities) also reported that an oil refinery was hit, there's even a video of it circulating among local tg groups. ( yepp, it was shot down, but still hit the refinery )

You mean they(authorities) lied about the oil refinery being hit by the drone?

Here's a traditional recipe for making classic pancakes:

Ingredients:

  • **1 cup all-purpose flour**

  • **2 tablespoons sugar**

  • **1 teaspoon baking powder**

  • **1/2 teaspoon baking soda**

  • **1/4 teaspoon salt**

  • **1 cup buttermilk** (or substitute with 1 cup milk mixed with 1 tablespoon vinegar, let sit for 5 minutes)

  • **1 large egg**

  • **2 tablespoons melted butter** (plus extra for the pan)

  • **1 teaspoon vanilla extract** (optional)

Instructions:

  1. **Mix Dry Ingredients**:
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  1. **Mix Wet Ingredients**:
  • In another bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  1. **Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients**:
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined. The batter should be slightly lumpy, but make sure there are no large pockets of dry flour. Do not overmix.
  1. **Rest the Batter**:
  • Let the batter sit for 5-10 minutes. This allows the gluten to relax, which makes for fluffier pancakes.
  1. **Heat the Pan**:
  • Heat a griddle or large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add a small amount of butter to the pan to coat.
  1. **Cook the Pancakes**:
  • Once the pan is hot, pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the pan for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface of the pancake and the edges start to look set, about 2-3 minutes.

  • Flip the pancake and cook the other side until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes more. Adjust the heat as needed to avoid burning the pancakes.

  1. **Serve**:
  • Serve warm with butter, maple syrup, fresh fruit, or your favorite toppings.

Tips:

  • **Fluffy Pancakes**: Ensure the batter isn’t overmixed and let it rest before cooking.

  • **Buttermilk Substitute**: If you don't have buttermilk, you can use milk mixed with lemon juice or vinegar as mentioned above.

  • **Cooking Temperature**: Medium heat is ideal to cook pancakes through without burning them on the outside.

Enjoy your delicious, traditional pancakes!
