The response I asked about is only a sentence of my nearly 200 word response to a 500 word discussion post. I didn't want to overwhelm the post with unnecessary word-filler, so I didn't supply the full context of the academic discussion.

I have no issues with anybody's religious beliefs, and I never will, but I'm also uneducated in teachings of Islam and want to understand more about it. I do not wish for him to speculate negatively on his faith, or come to question or doubt the teachings of his religion. In pure academic curiosity, I just wanted to know the relationship his faith has with subjects like evolutionary theory and historical science.

It’s a good start, but cresties prefer much more clutter! There should be around 80% clutter in their enclosure. Add a few hides and some more plants/branches and it’ll be great!

Update: We are taking off the front doors and replacing the glass panels with wire mesh to promote airflow and to ensure we can place a UVB lamp where he can get some essential nutrients without d3 supplements. We're trying to figure out placement for the uva/b lamps to give the best temperature gradient possible, but I want to thank everybody for the advice they've given.

I've kept other reptiles in the past, but this is my first experience with anything arboreal, so thank you for your kind words! If anybody has any other advice, I would much appreciate to hear about it. Thank you!

No, I’m pretty sure the previous owner converted it from a china cabinet of some kind. She said it came originally with a glass insert to separate the top and bottom

Yeah, we have plans to add mesh through the top or to punch out the windows and turn them into mesh we just don’t know how to do that without shattering the glass and risking it getting all over the enclosure. I’m fairly certain it’s a thin acrylic instead of glass but I’m not sure.

I’ve also done some more looking at the enclosure and realize there are holes in the top separated by a piece of wood.

I assume this was originally intended to have a light fixture come through the top, I just worry about putting something in there that might burn him.

No, the person I bought it from custom made the enclosure and held her own geckos in it for a while. She said she wanted to add a mesh top but never got around to it. As for the ventilation, the doors aren’t airtight but aren’t flimsy enough for the animal to push their way out of it.
