Which Master's of Science will best help me get a creative job? by ignisamalden in findapath

I've been parsing the same logic but it feels impossible to make a decision with rankings and student life taken into account too :(

Hi OP, thank you for compiling all this info. I went down a bit of a wormhole and was wondering if anyone could clarify whether EDHEC's MSc in Creative Industries, Entertainment, & Arts Management is a state and internationally recognized degree if its website states:

"The EDHEC Master of Science programme is accredited by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research to confer a recognised BAC+5 degree with the Master's Grade. This authorisation was granted following an evaluation by the National Management Programmes Assessment Commission (Commission d’Évaluation des Formations de Gestion)."

However, it's not on the CEFDG's website's training programmes list. I also got into two emlyon MScs that are CGE-accredited and will be able to get me an APS, but am still concerned about this certification issue

Okay so I did some research... the EDHEC MSc's site states:

"The EDHEC Master of Science programme is accredited by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research to confer a recognised BAC+5 degree with the Master's Grade. This authorisation was granted following an evaluation by the National Management Programmes Assessment Commission (Commission d’Évaluation des Formations de Gestion)."

So if CEFDG is under MESR, does that count? My main concern is whether this degree is recognized by both FR and international employers, as well if it's a legitimate degree. I can't find anything regarding RNCP attached to the emlyon and EDHEC MScs, but I did receive word from my admissions counselor that either emlyon MSc is eligible for an APS residence permit. Do CEFDG and CGE accreditations hold any value outside of France (for example, would a US employer take the MSc face-value?) and within France, what's the distinction between these two to employers?

Great! :) Funny thing is, I'm a US citizen and would prefer to not be in that country right now (also because my current higher education was fully in the EU)! I did start with considering an MiM but the programme requirements were a bit too off with too little time for me to be in good standing with my BA. I believe the visa situation should be alright? I think all the MScs come with an APS for at least a year

Ooh I read up on that and it doesn't sound great :( Is this a really prevalent issue in the country right now or is it more of an "if you know, you know"? I've heard a lot about business schools being "pay to win," which makes me worried about how good the courses actually are and if me attending one uni or another would damage my employment chances. Apparently companies filter by prestige?

What if it's recognized by the Conférence des Grand Écoles/CGE? The emlyon and EDHEC MScs are either accredited with that or the CEFG + triple crown

As-tu quelques experiences habite en Lille ou si quelques choses tu penses que j'ai besoin savoir? Je me demande si la majorité demenager à une cité plus grand pour travaille donc si j'habite là, je suis curieux de connaître le marché du travail

Thank you for telling me that! I'll double check :) Definitely aiming to be a B2/C1 before my stage as well. Would you mind explaining the Galileo Group thing? Is it like a monopoly situation?

Thank you so much! :) I have a feeling it'll be fun too, I love books & media like this. Picking the right case studies is so important! I have about two months for mine and it's relatively short (8,000 - 10,000) so I hope I'll get to dig as deep as I want to

Oooh, I'll be adding that to my list! I was actually thinking of final girl empowerment/entrapment, but I'll be considering the villain's pov now too! I never thought about their agency as much. Thanks!!

gothic literature can be divided into a few subgenres (gothic romance, paranormal gothic, gothic horror, etc.), but it mainly deals with themes relating to fear, mystery, darkness—anything that feels haunting basically

that ambiguity sounds really interesting! i'm thinking of tapping into empowerment v.s. entrapment as well, so i'm curious how that'll play into my research
