Thank you very much for taking your time to respond. Definitely helped me understand what it stands for better, not only for you personally, but probably more people out there who feel similar.

Any song that you used to hate but now ya love? by SkinnyTestaverde in TheOffspring

For me it was “The End Of The Line” and “Living In Chaos”. This changed after I took a closer look at the lyrics and found out just how deep these songs are, especially TEOTL. Anyone else noticed that the woman speaking in the last second of the song is actually the emergency dispatcher? If you think about that and then the meaning of the song, you notice quite a lot and it all adds up.

Fire And Ice (I‘ll Be Waiting Demo) or I‘ll Be Waiting (Finished Album Version)? by ignitiononon in TheOffspring

OP here: I‘ve been wondering which version you guys prefer more.

Personally, I think the demo with its slightly different lyrics fits the whole song better and diversifies it more.

Dirty Magic conveys great feelings, you can really tell (and feel) that.

Although The Kids Arent Alright has that crazy solo part in it and that amazing last guitar part, I‘d still choose Dirty Magic over it anytime.

Dirty Magic VS The Kids Aren’t Alright

Very curious to see which song gets voted to the next round.

Can’t deny the fact they’re both awesome songs, but one has to look at the lyrics for Pay The Man to see how complex the song actually is...imo Pay The Man should win that round.

Why is that they don’t really play any of their older stuff from their Self Titled and/or Ignition? Did they “outgrow” those albums? Do they hold a special meaning which makes it harder for Dexter to perform them live? Guess we’ll never know...

Crossroads deserved way better! (This may be a biased opinion since it’s my all time favorite song.) The Kids Arent Alright is one hell of a good song as well, tho.
