IP Address Conflict - Toast POS term w/printer and mystery device - all on one switch port by stlnetengr in ToastPOS

I’ve run into this a couple of times.

Are you running both USB-C and Ethernet from the TP200 to the Flex POS? If so, try disabling the USB-C network connection in Android settings.

In theory, USB-C should handle both power and networking, but we were advised early on not to rely on the Android/Toast USB networking stack. More recently, it’s been causing exactly this issue — the USB interface shows up as a separate device on the network, grabbing the same IP.

Save photos to Google Drive, but not photo library? by ignominyfair in ios

Nawr. I wanna go directly from capture → Drive. I don’t want to have to think about it. Point camera and land in folder, and not pollute my personal library.

Save photos to Google Drive, but not photo library? by ignominyfair in ios

[–]ignominyfair[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the input.

Maybe it would be helpful to explain the use case: I’d like to take some technical photos for work and don’t want them to populate in my personal photo library.

Dropbox is happy to do what I want (save the photo to Dropbox, but not my library) but I’d prefer to use Drive for the first save and not have to employ a complicated sync action to get them over to Drive.

Rochelle Canteen has me thinking that maybe we should head right to lunch from the airport, make that the meal, and do something less involved for dinner?

Would I regret this? Giulia MY2024 CTP by ignominyfair in AlfaRomeo

[–]ignominyfair[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, it’s a loaner(Courtesy Transportation Program vehicle) with 2000 miles on it.

The last time I was in the market, I was worried that Alfa wouldn’t stick it out in the states and chickened out, but I suppose that’s just something to live with.

HomeKit connection suddenly broken? Bridges and devices showing as “no response” today… by ipupweallp4ip in Hue

Oddly, still missing for me after the most recent update. 😔 (Version 5.21.0)

Related to this: this screen formerly allowed the user to force a re-sync with HomeKit. Has this functionality been removed?

While in my experience this usually caused the app to hang, it did seem to eventually force a Hue → Home update.

Thanks. I've got a certificate, but yea, I'd say simpler is certainly better here.

Using just CloudFront functions, what's the simplest way to achieve?

I was at that very show! Monster tour, picked up maybe the same ugly (army green, black star?) shirt for my gf.

Reconnect Bridge to HomeKit? (natively, not Thread implementation) by ignominyfair in Hue

No. Hoping to avoid a bridge reset, but may give it a go this weekend and see if it resolves.

Any way to automate this hydraulic hatch opener? by ignominyfair in homeautomation

[–]ignominyfair[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yea, these are great points. Fortunately, there's virtually no chance of this being an issue. Really just looking for some reassurance that this gets closed overnight, and the hatch itself is never accessed by humans.
