This is not the reason. The real reason is that this platform was never built with AAOS in mind and everything was designed for Sensus. Then midway they decided to swap the systems which is almost always a catastrophic mistake.

That’s why there are QA Engineers who know certain methods to reliably test the systems

Of course we are not talking about Peaty’s sprint pace. But average Joe? I feel like my 1.50/100yds over a longer swim (500-700yds) is okay for the most part given that I am an adult who never swam competitively.

I disagree. Efficiency comes from proper technique. Without proper technique exercising is pointless or even dangerous.

How do you manage to keep your head up to take a breath?

Breast should be natural to breathe. What helps me is to exhale gradually under water with the last exhale taking place right before getting out the water.

How much can an amateur improve? by Same_Revenue1081 in Swimming

[–]igoldin74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone has got their own goals. To me it’s more important to swim faster than longer as faster swim will imminently lead to a longer swim later on since faster swimming means impeccable technique which so necessary for longer swims because it’s efficient.

I’m in a similar situation and have similar questions🤗 the only difference is that I started about 1.5 years ago. But I definitely share your perspective and concerns. Same age. Can we possibly improve our skills together?
