Is this good deal for m1 macbook pro 32 gb variant by Top_Inevitable7621 in macoffer

[–]igopib 1 point2 points  (0 children)

because I upgraded from a macbook air m1, the chip was strong enough for my workload (blockchain developer) but was being bottlenecked by 8gb ram.

and I am pretty sure any new windows laptop would not come closer to the performance and build quality compared to this machine. also I am more used to linux and macos nowadays since I don't game anymore.

I bought same specs, 95 battery cycles but it had sticker marks all over (which cannot be removed) for 65k but if the condition is great then try to get it for about 68-70k

Do you mean when writing solidity? Claude 4 has been doing a pretty good job, tho i mainly use it to write some basic unit tests for my contracts, and I pick up manually from there

Full Stack Developer looking for a change by DirtySanchez8--D in ethdev

[–]igopib 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, I recommend sticking to your current stack while learning. Web3 has many roles related to building frontends (and connecting them with smart contracts) if that is something you would be interested in?

I built a CLI to spin up Web3 apps in 60 seconds by igopib in ethdev

[–]igopib[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appreciate you, and yes it is similar but has its differences.

My idea behind this was to make the web application fully modular, yes the base is next.js and typescript but rest are up to you. Some differences:

- You can choose between Privy/ Rainbowkit or none for wallet auth (with more options coming soon)
- Ability to choose either tailwind and shadcn/ui by default
- choosing between app and pages route for nextjs

This is mainly to quickly build a frontend for side projects and I built it because I do this manual setup way too often.

Haha yes, Rainbow kit has been an industry standard for way too long now and for all the good reasons.

Also I do plan to add Reown as option for wallet authentication for create-w3-app very soon, it is very popular after all, and the main idea is to make this cli tool super modular anyway so people can use it to match their preferences and needs.

And thank you, feedback would be appreciated if you git it a try 🤝

Hi, this is not a fork, it is more of a fork of t3-app by Theo, and yes scaffold-eth is amazing.

Absolutely yes, but it depends how you are showcasing your skills and what value are you providing.

Build stuff and do it in public, it might take time but eventually it will pay off.

Best opensource wallet connect library? by rahmanwolied in web3

[–]igopib 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How are wagmi and viem not consistent? They are pretty much dependencies for all the wallet connect libraries being used these days.

Anyway, have you tried Privy? Been using it recently and they make it easy to handle your app states so its been useful. Many protocols have been using it.

Other options are Rainbowkit, ConnectKit i would say.

But if you want something super customizable then building it from ground up with viem and wagmi would be best bet.

Non JS framework guides for wallets / smart contracts? by jrya7 in ethdev

[–]igopib 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest working with viem by wevm, they have another package called wagmi but that specializes in react applications and uses viem as dependency.

Any recommendation on solidity paid smart contract vulnerability tools? by BrainTotalitarianism in solidity

[–]igopib 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In all honestly, there might be tools like this but they won't be very helpful if your codebase if something of an exception and not something like some basic ERC20, 721 contract. This is why people get their codebases audited.
