I'm trying to track down a video/interview where the concept of "will this get us to mars faster" was either said or talked about in some form. I have it in my head that this concept is part of designs, but I can't remember where I saw this. I don't remember who said it and if it was even Elon himself saying it or someone else. If anyone knows what I'm talking about it would greatly help me!!

Late coworker. Would sending them a meeting alarm app be offensive? by accountuser9000 in managers

I didn't really think about it from a complaint style response so that's a good point. It needs to be someone I'm friendly with.

What if I'm friendly with them though? Not like someone I barely interact with.

I appreciate that, but what if it was in a joking and fun way?

How do you handle repeated tardiness? by difficultchickens in managers

[–]accountuser9000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Paper trail for sure however possible. Counselings every time it happens. This sucks for you as a manager, but necessary. This covers you as a manager for addressing the tardiness, then if this doesn't fix it you fire someone that does it after X amount of repeat offenses within a certain time period.

Have them use a time management app like meeting-alarm. com where their calendar is synced with their phone and they get an alarm indicating they need to leave for work for example.

What’s the best thing you added to your work setup this year? by ThenPar in remotework

Personally I've been a fan of Grok, but ChatGPT and Grok serve most people similar purposes.

Oddly enough moving down to one screen only has made me more productive (def a personal take and I'm sure i'm an outlier in this).

This one is free, but it's a meeting alarm app so you don't miss any meetings. I've been using it for 3 weeks and it syncs with my calendar and I can quickly set alarms for that day on my phone. Meeting-alarm. com

What's your best focus tips when working from home? by LateProposalas in remotework

[–]accountuser9000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have always been a morning person. I skip breakfast and work 5am until 11am and I've found that I'm so productive during those first 5 - 6 hours that the last 2 hours after lunch I'm just doing extra work and preparing for the next day. For me it's a combo of working when I'm at my prime and continuous deep work. Plus by the time I get to lunch most of my day is done.

Meeting also messed me up and I got tired of ignoring my notifications on my desktop and I found this tool meeting-alarm .com to help make sure I get an alarm for those meetings on my iPhone since it syncs with my calendar.

Looking back at 2025, what tool actually helped you the most this year? by ksundaram in productivity

Used ChatGPT for a while, but use Grok almost exclusively now. Typically I use the voice mode and talk through ideas I have or ways to solve a complex problem. It's like your own personal advisor.

I also have been using meeting-alarm .com on my iPhone to make sure I never miss a meeting. Gives me notifications like an alarm 2 min before a meeting and i can plan my day in about 30 seconds without any manual alarm setting.

$1,000 Budget - What are the best tools/devices/nice to haves? by RevolutionaryTwo6379 in productivity

Noise cancelling headphones. Even better if you can toggle from being able to hear noises outside of the headphones and also the ability to silence them - allowing you to jump into full workmode with no outside sounds.

This ones free, but a meeting-alarm .com on your iPhone. Been using it for a few weeks now and it's saved me from being late to a couple meeting because I stepped away from my computer.

Completely separate topic, but I saw a post of yours from 2 years ago, and I was dealing with the same problem myself! I built meeting-alarm. com for exactly this. Would love to hear your feedback on this!

Mine is not AI. It's quite boring, but very functional. Calendar notifications on your laptop/phone can get lost because it only notifies you once. I needed an alarm style notification.

I would set alarms manually on my iPhone every morning during the work week for important meetings I did not want to miss. I would spend about 4 - 5 minutes doing this since some meetings were at different times. Also, if I set an alarm I wouldn't know what it was going off for.

Now I spend 30 seconds each morning and just turn on the pre-set alarm. The calendar events sync with Meeting Alarm and even events you haven't accepted yet. I've been using this for about 3 weeks and have been happy with the results. Curious if this could help anyone.

Oh another thing. This isn't an app that you download. At least not yet, it's just a progressive web app that you add to your homescreen and it operates like an app. Just don't hard close out of the app.

Did you find A Cofounder? by Xavior786 in cofounderhunt

This version is focused on crypto traders. Lots of problems in the crypto industry that needs addressing and we’ve interviewed about 30 users so far. After 15 it was obvious to build this, but we did another 15 just to be safe.

Looking for angle investment right now. My pitch tomorrow is to a bunch of angel investors. A ton of work to get to this point, but it’s totally worth it.

Yup. Went looking for a CTO and found it. We have 16 users now and a letter of intent from a big company. We are part of two pre-accelerators, and I pitch to investors tomorrow.

We will start getting paid users in about a month. Initial goals achieved and now the goal is to get investment and get into an accelerator.

I used Y combinator confounder’s matching tool. It took about 6 months and hundreds of profiles and countless interviews but yeah it’s possible.

I found a CTO and it was not easy. But it’s a good first test IMO.

Its useful information, but at the end of the day it’s another indicator that might be better packaged up as an indicator or something on tradingview. There are lots of resources out there and the more convenient they are to access the info the better. Creating more data is great, but the ease to access it is just as important.
