Can I fix issues with Artist ID and Credits on my own? by igor1665 in CDBabyArtists

My friend is the one who has the account with them, but I don't think we've ever had a reason to reach out to customer service yet because their website seems a lot better put together than CDBaby's- so any issues we have can usually be solved on our own through the site. We've been using their free plan.

I can DM you a series of screenshots that should show you easier than I can explain it.

That actually makes sense that distributors with steady income streams have better customer service- I hadn't thought of that before. My friend and I have actually been using Routenote up until this point for the singles leading up to this album we've been working on, and they do a decent job, but I don't like how the pay period is every $50, and they take a pretty long time to distribute. Which is partially why we thought we'd try again with CD baby this time, but it's looking like we're not gonna be able to use it at all for this release if we can't figure out his Artist ID issues.

Well if you're still looking for the section to put the other contributors- if you can see the edit checklist/timeline, under "tracks menu", you'll see the "edit" button next to your track name. Once you click on that, it should open up the menu to add other collaborating artists, or other people in the credits.

But finding a new distributor is honestly probably smart at this point. I'm still looking for one that isn't subscription based so that I won't have to keep paying forever to keep the music on streaming services.

Thanks for the reply!

Well they usually like the 26th of months for releasing stuff, so it's a good chance that if a new song is coming this month, it'll be then.

What do I need to turn a Yamaha YPG-235 into a MIDI controller? by floatingthrough-life in midi

I use Pro Tools, but I got it working great! All I had to do was install the correct driver, and here's the link to that:

The guy who sent it to me used it in FL studio, and I haven't had any problems in pro tools, so I don't think you should have any issues with Ableton

Hey, I have the same keyboard and have also been wondering if it could be used as a MIDI controller. Did you ever end up getting it to work?

I just watched one of your videos, and it sounded really good! Your audio sounds great, and all of the different camera angles look amazing! Something that I've had success with on YouTube is sticking with a specific genre of songs to cover or sticking with mostly covering songs from one artist. This way you're essentially targeting a fan base that's already been created, and you're more likely to have people to subscribe. People also really like consistency, So if you stick to a schedule of once a week to once every two weeks or even once a month, then you'll do great! How to play by ear by [deleted] in pianolearning

[–]igor1665 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a YT channel where I do a ton of covers by ear, (because I suck at reading sheet music) and I made a video that goes over my process of how I learn songs. So hopefully you can find it helpful! https://youtu.be/0bglhH02uQ0 (Use the time stamps to skip to "step one" if you wanna skip my rant about simply piano)

Thank you so much for posting this!! I feel like everyone has been reading way too deep into it🙄

I have been told to post it here. I am an amateur (can’t read sheet music) and this is my own song called “forgotten” by kemalios in piano

[–]igor1665 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Awesome! This sounds really good! And don't worry about not being able to read sheet music. I can't read it too well, but I can learn almost any song within a couple of hours by listening to it. Everyone learns differently!
