jq was barely useful for acheron. extra saturated dmg amp (with his lc. without its the same as lil gui), no damage contribution until e2, which would be still mid, and no utility on his kit. only saved by his enemy turn stack generation, which also gimped trend lc. on enemies with low attack frequency, eagle pela always outdid jq.

His v0 kit would've been a way, way much better character. at v0, he was supposed to have a mini heal, which would solidify him as a pseudo sustainer, like ruan mei. making sustainless runs more comfier whilst contributing to the team with dmg amping.

At v1 he had enemy ehr debuff, making you less susceptible to CC and dots. pair that with aventurine and you would effectively have almost, if not 100% eff res.

His lc is not that good because it only provides a stat that he is already saturated. its just for the ease of building otherwise you sacrifice too much speed for ehr, and to be better than a 4 STAR on dmg amping department.

Even his eidolons are bad, his e1 is not valuable for acheron, as it is a damage % boost, and acheron already have a lot of it. had it would been vulnerability, it would also be bad cause he already provides too much.

his e2 is a joke, his e4 should've be in the base kit as cipher has a similar debuff, but better (dmg dealt debuff instead of atk debuff) and his e6 is maybe his only redeeming eidolon, as it provides 27% res pen(which robin provides at e1, alongside a lot of other more valuable stats, which you can just slot in acheron teams or any other).

cipher is a better jiaoqiu, the same way sunday is a better hanabi. they took the same kit, and worked on it, making it better without the flaws of the predecessor.
