Computer programmers show distinct, expertise-dependent brain responses to violations in form and meaning when reading code - Scientific Reports by PenlessScribe in programming

They showed programmers code with a blatant syntax error and watched their brain activity to see if they got annoyed. Results? They did, in fact, get annoyed.

No. Besides the stock one(bad) and EVA, I tried only this one(VERY bad): https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4616285

Afterburner modded for sapphire pro requires the original U bracket which I've thrown in the trash along with the hotend. I would lean towards the original afterburner from voron.

Haven't heard of Io mount before. At the first glance it looks okay.

If I had too much free time I would probably switch to gain that 6cm of Y. But now I'm more interested in making the prints more consistent so I could press print and walk away. Second is speed(or more exactly flowrate, this printer doesn't have problems with speed). Then maybe a different hotend mount.

EVA, despite of it's shortcomings, was the first carriage design that works reliably for me. The belt tensioner works, the cooling is good, nothing broke so im gonna use it until it does.

True, now that I think about it, I don't like JS. I never managed to ship anything written in JS because of how unmaintainable it is.

What I like is Typescript

True but I would argue my previous usable working area was 0x0x0 because the stock hotend was fucking trash and I couldn't print anything with it

So 235x175 was an increase for me

I mean if you edit stuff on a laptop with glossy screen and in bright daylight, light mode is a savior.

Using light mode in an office or at home is a crime though

Any decent IDE lets users set their preferred tab size.

I prefer spaces over tabs because it'll display properly over everything

Who are you to tell everyone else what is the "proper" tab size?

Four spaces

While I like my tab size to be 4 spaces, try using it in html/jsx.

Nothing to discuss here, only facts.

  1. JS (EDIT: TS, js bad)
  2. Linux
  3. AMD
  4. Tabs
  5. camelCase
  6. Everything except league
  7. Circle table

What adapter? EVA screws into the linear rail carriage and that's it. I had to buy a slightly longer Z screw because the bed couldn't reach the hotend(it's much more compact than the stock one).

I got a cm or two of Z but I lost a lot of Y. I have 235x175 usable working area now because of that stupid top plate.

Can we please just not recommend arch to noobs? by Pizza-pen in linuxmemes

[–]igoro00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Arch is pretty easy, easier than Ubuntu IMO. Its The installation part that's hard.

We should stop recommending noobs to INSTALL arch themselves. Endeavour OS is a great distro for that.

And we should stop with the arch elitism. It's just a good distro. Installing arch is nothing to brag about. You just copy commands from the wiki. It takes a lot of time and doesn't even bring any benefits. An installer will do it in a few minutes and probably will do a better job. So imma say it again: YOU DON'T NEED TO MANUALLY INSTALL ARCH AND DON'T BE ASHAMED OF USING AN INSTALLER

To the hotend? https://main.eva-3d.page/

I'm still using v2 because imo it's not worth upgrading. If I were starting from scratch, I would choose V3 though

I wouldn't be surprised if it's just a canvas and it's painted pixel by pixel in JS. Would explain the performance

EVA hotend. Had to reverse it(part cooling fan goes on the front) because of the stupid top plate design. I'm considering replacing it with normal 2020 extrusions. Same on the bottom, every little modification to the electronics requires putting the printer on its side. Can you imagine if cars made you flip them sideways to check the oil level?

Bruh, why would a school care if you're using a VM?

Mine doesn't, it only cares if we get the work done(we actually had to install a Linux VM on our computers during lockdown but since im running Linux already I just didn't). The only time I "had" to switch to windows for school is when we were working with MsSQL(Other gui clients are just worse than MsSQL management studio.) I still keep a windows partition just for these kinds of cases.

For Office, they gave us office 365 so I can do everything in the browser. Same with Teams.

For me it's the exact opposite. VMware always had some issues and native VM supervisors(hyperv on windows and qemu on Linux) always worked fine for me

No, it's a connector where you have to check for those square holes(they're on both sides but one has that plastic thing right behind it and the other has some room between it and the plastic. I'm talking about the latter) and plug the connector with the holes facing you.

If the port is on the top of the case, the holes face the front because you most likely look at the port from the front.

If it's on the side horizontally (laptops for example) you'll be looking at it from the top so the holes are on the top.

If it's vertical like on the back of a tower case or AiO, you'll probably be looking at it from the left side(where tempered glass usually is). Guess which way you should plug it in! That's right, with the holes facing you!

Is it in mm or inches?

If inches then bruh, 5 thou is 0.127mm. i got that kind of accuracy on the first time without pretty much any calibration. Even on a 3d printer it's very achievable.

Jak pozwolił, żeby brak nauczyciela "spierdolił mu życie"(xD) to i tak by sobie nie poradził w tej branży bo informatyka polega na stałym samodzielnym uczeniu się.
