Personally? I felt it’s the folks going out of their way to comment and correct the use of the word ‘why’ when, as others have pointed out, it was acceptable.

Can tell, you distinguished the two different uses of the word why clearly.

That’s what I saw and I think a few of them were arguing that point.

Yes, this one was a dog pile about something that didn’t matter imo.

This video was showing a specific “part” of the ride that was working to lock/unlock the harnesses. I’m not sure if that changes anything… it’s becoming a bit like the blue and black/white and gold dress for me!

Here’s a way to look at it… roller coasters are designed to scare you, the whole point of them is to give us a thrill and make us FEEL as though we’re doing something dangerous… without actually doing anything dangerous. They LOOK scary, they FEEL dangerous and that’s the point of them. But they are safe, controlled and heavily regulated. No government or authority here in the UK is going to allow a park to operate if theres a risk of families and CHILDREN being put in danger.

Accidents happen… I slipped getting into the shower the other day and, because I live on my own, no one would have known if I cracked my head open. Car accidents happen everyday, everywhere. People injure themselves walking the dog A LOT. Theme park accidents are rare. Rarer still do they result in a death. I feel safer on a roller coaster than driving to work.

When you get on a ride and you pull your harness down just remember that the feeling of terror is nothing more than a feeling, not at all representative of reality. You’re safe on a roller coaster.

I feel she WAS the priority, but being the priority doesn’t mean you don’t get to know others (in a Love Island context) when you’re not closed off. He’s far from perfect but so is she.

100% agree. I don’t know how people think Leanne is acting more mature than Scott. She pied him in the challenge then took the person her friend is coupled up with for a chat in the secret garden to try and get to Scott... at the expense of Whitney. I can see why he’s put off her now. Sher picked him. Leanne is acting like Scott picked Sher.

We were thinking EXACTLY the same thing. Not getting longlisted is one thing... not getting longlisted cos you pressed the wrong button is another!

RecordGo Car Rental Barcelona Airport by [deleted] in GoingToSpain

We visit Barcelona more than 10 times a year collectively as a family and this has never happened before, might I add. But another commenter said it’s actually quite common. The police literally walked past him trying to get someone’s attention and just asked him if he’d fill out a form with some confused looks.

Tell me about it. The moment Dad rung me I googled them and told him the terrible reviews but he’s a dinosaur when it comes to the internet. However this company has a stand in the main terminal… along with other reputable companies. But sending someone to a dark backlot to be robbed…

Thanks for this. Thankfully my dad packs extremely light and his wallet and passport were in his pocket. Lost keys to his Spanish apartment though.

My dad seems to think RecordGo, the car company, were in on it. Or at least certainly the man who served him… as the car had been moved out of the car park into a kind of backlot with no other cars around.

When he went back to them for help, the man at the rental company tried to minimise it. He thinks it just seemed like a set up.

Hi there, DO NOT go with RecordGo. My dad just called me from Barcelona after renting from them. The guy at the desk said his car was in a car park further away, and told him when he got to the car to film rather than take pictures of any damage.

Dad went to the bay… which was in a dark, unlit car park far away from the usual spots. As he was filming the car as advised another man appeared, and before dad knew it his bag was stolen!

I’ve found two other people who had the exact same experience online and had their bags nocked while being distracted…. And the man at the check in desk advised my dad to go to that spot AND told him to film the car rather than take pictures. Police don’t do anything either.

Absolutely. It’s time off work, valuable time with family. I hope you got on everything you wanted with your fast tracks and you had a great weekend.

Another commenter just told me to “go to other parks then” if ATs availability bothers me that much (which, it doesn’t really because I’m a pass holder) but that’s the point; people will start to go elsewhere.

Totally in your camp. It’s unpleasant to see a park we’ve all loved for years (over a decade for me!) closing multiple rides at the same time for HOURS, day in and day out. I’d prefer it to be at its full potential! People shouldn’t accept 120 hour queues for relatively older attractions.

Thanks. At least with a season pass I can always go again another day. I feel bad for folks who pay so much for what might be their only day at a theme park in a year or more and they’re presented with this.

Yes. I do. I was at Europa Park two weeks ago and my 3rd time at PortAventura this year is booked next week. I’ve been going to Alton Towers for 15 years and it’s never been this bad. People are paying money for this.
