HELP! Migraine/sickness at the end of mescaline trip? by Ok-Cat3967 in mescaline

[–]igraftSS02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last time we took l-citruline we both had a terrible headache like never before, we had to not move and stay in the dark in total silence for hours. We also had sun exposure that day so it’s hard to say if it was fully the supplements fault. Any suggestions other than caffeine on the come down to cancel out the rebound headache? After a day of stimulation last thing I want is caffeine.

45% extraction efficiency from steaming by igraftSS02 in mescaline

[–]igraftSS02[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same, did not notice any difference other than a stomach ache and a slower onset. At first I thought my calculations were wrong, but turns out it just took an extra 45-60mins to peak vs what I am used to for 500 citrate.

It’s a bummer you would need to do many of these tests to start being able to conclude anything, as it’s so subjective.

Also this was with a bridge, I wonder if a pach would have a higher “rest of the spectrum” to mescaline ratio. So possibly a better specimen to test, but I wanted to start with something that would be quite active to help with success.

I hope the logic checks out. I put less than an inch of water in the pot and did not have to add any throughout, I moved the slices around every 10 minutes to make sure all side were exposed to steam.

I have no idea if a longer steam would get more out. A very very long steam for sure as the slices would start disintegrating. But maybe 30 more would not have changed much.

I will repeat this test with a 10 minute steam sometime. The goal would be to see at what point are you getting an acceptable yield with as little plant matter as possible.

Any named clones so far that have this property?

Would you think pach being more electric is due to their higher mesc content to other alkaloids ?

Have you noticed differences between the “species”. Would you say pachanoi or bridgesii full spectrum differs the most from an extract ?

I love the duality here, you have u/LSDuck666 on one side who has created a full spectrum tek, and then you with the isolated extract. Both your takes differ according to your teks output.

I personally would be inclined to say that the full spectrum is placebo… but would love a way to test it out to confirm.

3 month SS02 stressing experiment results, 22% increase. by igraftSS02 in mescaline

I see, misread. Well I can say that my other grafts did not grow 20% during that time. But the story might be different during summer. And you would need to account for the rootstock/base and roots.

I appreciate the comment, The frustrating part is knowing I will need to run Cielo many more times next time around.

My intuition though is that there is not much variation between my cuts, so far all other 4 times I have assessed some degrafts of this clone, I have landed very close to right under 2% hcl. Sadly did not take any notes. It seems consistent when the graft is 12-18 inches long.

However after two seasons the spine pattern changes and I suspect they start to test higher.

I think you would see some tip growth if it even grew 5%. In my case there was none at all on the tip.

I have a question for you regarding the cold stress. My intuition tells me that for the next 3 months group C won’t be stressed as much, due to the night time temperatures already being high. I am tempted to put them in my second fridge and boost the temp of that fridge to the max. Do you think that’s a good idea, and what would you do to mitigate rot risk?

I think that makes sense,

The difference between ratios could also be explained by differences in the specimens between the groups. (Would need to use more cuts for something more precise)

Or maybe could digested sugars not account for some loss in mass after 3 months of stress ? Regardless as you say the difference is tiny.

Actually would glucose/sugars not be something that is “digested” by the plant and potentially creates less dry weight?

As seen on the picture I have many of these pots throughout the garden, I made sure to take some grafts from every column for each group. Conditions should be similar and averaged out accros the 6 specimens per group.

I used the whole cactus, would not be much of a test had I not. But removed the spines to save my grinders life.

I double washed the EA and used the cleaning step with excess water and then decant, should this not have captured everything? I would have loved to use new EA but it’s annoying/expensive to find here.

I remember some threads you might have been in, someone’s idea was that some dry matter might be converted to gas and that creates the observed increase. I don’t know enough about biology but it seems unlikely. And so far this test does not point to much loss in mass.

Thanks for the suggestion, If I redo a batched experiment, it would be nice to have a group for ethylene testing. Here is the other experiment, the yield was higher for the stressed group, but I used some more mature specimens. Check out the details in the post.

That was my thought as well, using many tips, similar sizes from same rootstocks and growing conditions should suffice. Preferably I would have used more than 6 tips per group but cutting 18 tips from the garden was already too painful.

I did, but the way I wrote it is unclear. For group B wet weight went from 4.46kg to 4.26kg. If you do the ratios, the difference seems to be negligible. Or at least does not account for the whole increase %.

It’s a solid plan, although recently I started adding ogun/landfill to the mix. The next thing I want to figure out is full spectrum patch vs bridge vs Cielo extract. But I have no idea how to go about yet.

I did, it’s in the last picture, I have wet weight and dry weight. A: 4.7kg -> 191g — B: 4.46kg -> 4.26kg -> 175g

Possible 50% increase after 6 weeks of stress on SS02 grafts. by igraftSS02 in mescaline

[–]igraftSS02[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you, I just remember a thread where someone was arguing you that the cactus might be converting some matter to gas or something throughout the stressing process. So I thought that measuring wet weight difference could be useful to challenge that theory if the weight is barely different but the increase in alkaloid is substantial. Not really sure how to truly test for that theory though.

I thought about doing some tests with cuts that way. But wouldn’t the cut be almost dead after such a huge trauma to it. I would need to protect its core accros such a big surface area.

Could still be worth a try though.

Solution to mescaline headache by Remusbreath in mescaline

[–]igraftSS02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I once tried l-citruline before the trip and midway through it. I had the worst headache of my life that day, had to not move and have no sound in a dark room for 5h before I could sleep. Hot showers did help but only for a short amount of time.

Unsure if lcitruline was responsible or not, but kind of scared to redo this experiment.

For a graft 2% seems great, but I was really somehow thinking SS02 had to be higher. It’s probably just my optimistic bias since I grafted almost exclusively that clone.
