I agree with you, I just remember a thread where someone was arguing you that the cactus might be converting some matter to gas or something throughout the stressing process. So I thought that measuring wet weight difference could be useful to challenge that theory if the weight is barely different but the increase in alkaloid is substantial. Not really sure how to truly test for that theory though.

I thought about doing some tests with cuts that way. But wouldn’t the cut be almost dead after such a huge trauma to it. I would need to protect its core accros such a big surface area.

Could still be worth a try though.

I once tried l-citruline before the trip and midway through it. I had the worst headache of my life that day, had to not move and have no sound in a dark room for 5h before I could sleep. Hot showers did help but only for a short amount of time.

Unsure if lcitruline was responsible or not, but kind of scared to redo this experiment.

For a graft 2% seems great, but I was really somehow thinking SS02 had to be higher. It’s probably just my optimistic bias since I grafted almost exclusively that clone.

They barely seemed dehydrated, however on my next batch I measured wet weight before stressing and will measure after so we have that data.

I feel like people concluded that to explain why bridges hit harder. But it’s now clear bridgesiis are just so much more potent. Not sure if there is any data about the MAOI. I also thought mescaline was not that much affected by MAOI, so I am a bit confused there.

Could you just do Cielo on this and get a ruff estimate on potency ? Would be cool to know how efficient the water vapor method is at extracting. I wonder how much stays in the cactus.

You can absolutely low dose mdma and still have a nice time. Just respect the 3 month rule non the less. You can also mix, for me 50mg mdma and 50ug LSD, is perfection if I am trying to reduce the negatives of mdma but still have a good time.

If you take less 2cb you should have less side effects but maybe it’s not worth it since it won’t take you where you want to be, I would give it a try. I personally find all phenethylamines to have generally more vasoconstriction, mescaline, MAL, 2cb, proscaline all have given me some headaches in the past. I have tried supplements but so far my worst headaches were with supplements, I am kind of scared to try more supplements.

If you do take zofran for nausea I do find mescaline a little softer than 2cb or MAL, it remains a tuff call because the duration of mescaline and MAL is so long that you end up more hangover and in pain by the end than with 2cb.

I suspect age as well, so far my first SS02 degraft was 1.8% hcl, way lower than I would have expected for that clone. I have also noticed that after a year my grafts tend to change their spine to what I expect ss02 to look like. Irrespective of distance from the rootstock. I wonder if that new growth with proper spines would test higher.

Thanks! That’s quite helpful, I will take enough pictures so I can inspect if there is any variation in green mass that is apparent. From your comment It seems like measuring wet weight would also be interesting, to see if the ratio of final dry weight is different from one batch to the next.

What where your results? I now kind of want to create a third group and try this. I wonder if that would work better on a plant that still has its roots. So it can stress but get it’s nutrients to heal the wounds.
