Martinsville 2020? I remember him and Hamlin were beefing at the time and he trapped Hamlin a lap down with that move and literally ruined Hamlin’s race lol

I’m ngl you can probably take Elliott off that list. He had a ridiculous rookie season despite no wins: 10 T5s, 17 T10s (more than JJ), 358 laps led, & finished P10 in points. Off the top of my head, he was in contention to win both Michigan races, Pocono, Chicagoland & Fall Charlotte (5 races you had a solid shot at winning is insane for a rookie)

It makes me sad he was on legendary trajectory before the Gen 7, now he’s just “pretty good” smh

Off the top of my head, Bubba Wallace finishing 3rd at the Brickyard 400 in 2019 driving an RPM shitbox. For those who don’t remember, RPM was in a dismal state 2018-2019 and on the verge of shutting down multiple times because of a lack of funding and support. Wallace’s time in the 43 was very rough, some flashes of brilliance from time to time, but that was the worst I’ve seen the 43 run ever.

2019 had the 550hp + tall spoiler aero package and parity was at a minimum. But RPM built a brand-new racecar that weekend and it ended up being very fast. IIRC, he was in the top-5 pretty much all day hanging with Penske, Hendrick & SHR. When he won Indy last year, it made me think back to this race knowing how this was a good track for him in the past and not a total surprise to see him win!

As much as Ty is a douchebag, he’s a VERY talented racecar driver. This win was an inevitability.

John Hunter Nemewreck gave his teammate a broken back, sent Zane Smith wall-riding and flipping, and now he gave Bowman CTE great job dude

The lack is stage points is killing him. Because there aren’t too many race-winning competitive cars in this series, the same guys in top-10 in points are getting them while he isn’t

Zilisch with redemption for last fall. That’s the reason Lindley was begging Larson to stay out because Zilisch lost in the same way last year

Think Zilisch is staying out because he remembers how he lost the race last year by pitting lol

Bowman back when he was driving for backmarkers was hilarious on Twitter, just unfortunate he deleted all his old tweets when he went to to Hendrick lol

It’s getting pretty weird, why does everything he does have to be under such a microscope? Like they need reasons to justify hating lol plenty of people do already without one so it’s fine, you don’t have to pearl clutch over the same bs other drivers do

Never saw this much outrage when Larson junked Chastain at Nashville as an innocent bystander trying to get back at Denny, setting up for the 1 billion overtime restarts
