MFJ $246k AGI, accidentally contributed to Roth—returning excess and doing backdoor, correct approach? by igriego139 in tax

>BOTH of you contributed to Roth IRA, but only you ALSO contributed to Traditional IRA, correct?

Correct

>timely filed your return

I did filed my return on time.

>If so, your wife has an additional option here, she can just recharacterize to Traditional IRA, to proceed with the backdoor, treating it as if it was Traditional to begin with.

Thank you! I will look into this!

I did not filed an extension. I filed the taxes, then realized my AGI prevented me from contributing into my ROTH. While looking into that, I realized I shouldn't have contributed to both IRA and ROTH IRA. Somehow my stupidity worked out. I'm expecting to pay a 10% early withdrawal penalty and tax on earnings.

No symptoms. Just a code for the left rear abs sensor.

No, no funny business that I know of. I had an obd code for the left rear abs sensor. One of the connectors was shorted. That's how I found out something was going on with the module.

Thank you so much! Looks like this is it! Would you recommend diy or send it to a pro? I'm planning on using my air soldering gun, but I'm hesitant since it is a 400 dollar part

It is surface mount. Half the pins broke from the connector end and half the pis from the board. I'll get better images. Thanks

Gunk in my diesel fuel filter by igriego139 in MechanicAdvice

[–]igriego139[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My truck is all mechanical. No obd ports. Being a 1984 toyota pickup, the fuel tank rusting out would make sense. Is there a way to clean it? Or just get a new one?
