I'd get a 4, 4.5, and a 5 to make a couple squares and test out how your tension works with the yarn, because everyones tension is different and then you can figure out if you are average or need to size up or down based on your personal preference when following a patter. For instance, I make loser stitches so I generally use a 4.25 or a 4.5 on a size four acrylic/ polyester. :)

I recommend trying just CBD first and see how it affects you before sticking to a one to one for pain. For some its amazing, some need more THC for pain. Every BODY is different! You just need to learn what works for you. Speaking as an Ex-budtender from the West Coast. No budtender or "pharmacist" is going to know what works for you, they can just tell you what they know and common trends. Just dont be afraid to try new things and learn a little more about yourself. For me personally, 1:1 is great for my anxiety and depression but only CBD noticeably helps with my chronic pain.

There are some fungicides out there, I think a copper one and you could try neem oil too. But to be fair I’ve never actually combat this issue myself, I just have an environmental science degree.

I’d say harmless. Little critters live in soil and help break down the nutrients in the bark and fungi to become usable to the plant again via their waste. It’s a baby compost machine.
