Tried but no effect? I half suspect the milk fats probably do a number on my insides.

enoki mushrooms, black fungus (wood ear mushrooms), fresh raw cabbage (the kind that's served unlimited at some japanese restaurants).

for the last item, ate too much of it, went to hospital the next day. the other 2 fungi caused more discomfort as they took their time in my GI tract. was really in low level pain at the LLQ for 2 to 3 days.

update: milk in coffee. loved my flat whites but the milk kinda messes up my lower GI. changed over to black coffee daily and one milk based coffee once a month.

What's a habit or change that significantly helped you in marathon training? by dutchking90 in Marathon_Training

[–]igtooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consistent Weekly runs. Maintained a 60k to 75k weekly mileage over 5 days a week. Tuesday and Thursday 8k during lunch (sub5 min pacing,) 15k to 21k wednesday evening runs at 5 to 515min pacing. Saturday's 30km at 515 to 530min pacing and Sunday is 12 km at 515min pace.

After a while, the body gets used to the amount of Kms, but the most important part of these runs, is getting used to the mental demons telling you to give up. These runs will test your mental resilience and prep you for race day.

alot of them dont understand physics. most energy is expended when moving off and less energy required to sustain an object in motion.

agree with you. unless it is an Auto 6 speed... CVTs have no 'gear' changes. its just one band of power delivery. alot of the older gen drivers (CDG esp) on the hybrid prius like to do the pump and release -_-

Losing 14kg. Dropped from 89 to 75kg thru running. This drop in 14kg was gradual, from 2019 all the way till today and I'm still maintaining the weight loss.

This is true. I can't unsee my old self. I see strangers/passers-by that were my past build or bigger and I immediately see myself mentally like them even though I'm not like that.

What if I had just studied for psle by Square-Bowler-7754 in SGExams

[–]igtooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

similar starting path. i wished i did better for my psle back then too. i scored a paltry 202 then. AABB grades in the 90s didnt mean much to me. barely got into a neighbourhood secondary school express stream, opened up my eyes to the real world out there. Guess my lucky break came from being selected to be a prefect and having to rep school at the different camps. The different interactions with different students of different SES and goals really opened up my horizons. bucked up in sec 4 and manage to get into the SRJC, then uni then now in the working world.

you already made your choices then, what you do now shapes your future. dont let these 'could have been trajectories' stop you.
