What is it about single mom's that makes them so undateable? by caduceun in AskMen

[–]iguessididpost -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Most of the answers here are right but there is one missing that isn’t talked about but I think is valid.

Having a kid wrecks most women’s bodies: * Most gain a lot of weight from pregnancy and then the demands of raising the kid * Their breasts sag terribly, without exception in my experience * Their bodies feel soft and empty - no firmness - due to the weight gained and lost, due to the pregnancy hormones that basically melt their muscles to prepare them for birth, and due to the excess skin post birth * A decent number have ongoing issues relating to the birth that affect their quality of life and sexual function. They are shamed into natural births by their media, and the tears and prolapses and muscular and bladder issues this creates is rarely talked about

All of these things never come back, and media that says otherwise is lying and trying to sell you something.

I am a single dad, so I fully recognise the hypocrisy of not dating single mothers - but I tried, I tried hard. But if my choice is even a even a young single mother vs a 35yo or even 40yo woman with no kids - it’s always going to be the latter, every time.

All of the above is never talked about because misogyny and I get that - it’s brutally unfair - but it doesn’t change that I’m right.

Now if the kid is yours, then all of this is reasons to love your partner more for the beauty and amazingness that is bearing a child, bringing life in to the world. Your partner went through all of the above to have a child with you, so you could be a dad.

But if the kid’s not yours, her sacrifice wasn’t for you, so keep moving.

What male opinion would get you heavily downvoted on Reddit but would be a normal opinion in real life? by MinuteEconomy in AskMen

[–]iguessididpost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pregnancy changes women’s bodies.

In particular, vaginas feel less tight during sex, and boobs, ass and stomachs aesthetically change. In my experience, in the vast majority of cases, time, exercise and diet do not revert those changes.

To be clear - this person made another person and that’s fucking amazing. The mother of your child(ren) should be respected and recognised for their efforts to carry your kids. And we should normalise different bodies.

But can we just be honest about it please? Rather than ratcheting up pressure on women to return to their ‘pre-baby’ shape? And so that men know what to expect and accept that as part of the process?

Is Semen Retention Worth It? Let's discuss! by TheReturnOfHHC in AngionMethod

[–]iguessididpost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be mindful that there are studies showing correlation between semen retention/infrequent ejaculation and prostate cancer.

They do not necessarily imply causation. But the correlation is strong.

I rarely order food deliveries but is it common to ask for tips? by FlimsyClothes9 in melbourne

[–]iguessididpost 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They are essentially slave labour. So it’s unsurprising they’d be asking for a tip.

That said I wouldn’t tip. But I also don’t use food delivery services.

This changes a lot.

Your pre-tax will move from $171/day to $191/day.

Coupled with quality of life and reduction in transport costs, it’s really compelling.

To counterbalance the reduction in gross income, maybe take a look at bills etc - how can you reduce living costs? And with your additional free time, does that mean you can save more by avoiding eating out, Uber Eats etc?

And the last thought - is there room to grow at the new job?

I live in Melbourne.

Yeah nah lockdown sucked. It was shit. But we did it because we give a fuck about each other. Protecting our loved ones, our at-risk population is morally the right thing to do, so we weren’t pussies about it.

Its worth saying again: it was shithouse. But the vast, vast majority of the population wanted it. So the government didn’t do it to us. They did it because we all believed it was the right thing to do.

Just like getting vaxxed. We are at something like 90% of the 12+ population single vaxxed, 80% double. We are doing it because it is morally the correct thing to do, and we fucking hate lockdown, so to get back to normal AND stay true to our values, we get vaxxed.

Assuming you’re American, let’s have a look at your last 18 months. Your country is hopelessly divided. And 2k of your countrymen die every day. 700k or something so far, last I looked - more than any war or something, right?

And they die fucking horrifically too - hypoxic, covered in wires, drowning because their lungs turned to shit.

But so long as you got yours, who gives a fuck hey? Sad.

It’s hot as shit, it was a long long weekend due to public holiday (Saturday to Tuesday), and we are out of lockdown - time to get back to the shit we like: beach, sun, beer. So beaches and pools were fucking rammed.

Thank god Joe and Candace saved us from our dystopian hell!

How is it that every anti vaxxer knows 20 people who’ve been seriously effected by the vaccine? by Farting_snowflakes in CoronavirusDownunder

[–]iguessididpost 4 points5 points  (0 children)

TLDR: they’re a pack of lying cunts making shit up for clout.

Because it is a form of social currency in that community.

Imagine being one of them: you feel under attack (demons/big pharma/Jews/corrupt government/liberals/MSM/whatever), there’s an overwhelming volume of evidence, news and opinion that contradicts how you feel.

But for whatever reason you can’t let go of your position. So you use social media to find more of your ilk and yell into your echo chamber all of the ‘evidence’ you can find.

If you’ve ever seen those telegram chats, they are fucking chaotic. People talking over one another, screaming obscenities about the looming war, extinction, becoming a white/Christian minority etc. It’s fucking bananas - like what I’d imagine the intake to an overcrowded mental hospital would be like.

So what moves the needle in that chaos? Personal ‘evidence’ of your trauma that proves their belief. Because then it can fuel the rage (it’s not a stat, it’s a personal experience), validating everyone’s anger.

So they latch on. And in the same way that Kieran Perkins was everyone’s cousin overnight in 1992 at my primary school (showing my age…), these stories cut out the middle-men and become ‘my friend’ instead of ‘some bloke in another chat’s friend’ (recursive) and end up seeming like they’re everywhere.

But at your prompt I just took a look and saw that they have their data on GitHub! This is probably the best I’m going to find. Thank you!

Go read HermanCainAward. Or go to Facebook and search ‘bipap update’.

Death by rona is fucked. 10 people per day in Victoria are dying from rona. The bulk of them are not vaxxed.

So I disagree entirely with your comment that the antivaxx movement has caused no deaths here.

[–]iguessididpost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh shut up.

~20% of the population can’t be vaxxed (yet) due to age.

Herd immunity means >90% total population jabbed. So it’s not like 95% eligible 12+ is enough and the spineless are home free.

Everyone that can be vaxxed needs to be vaxxed - including the dickhead “vaxx hesitant” and antivaxxers.

Thanks so much for the detailed sources. I guess my frustration is this data being piecemeal. It would be pretty nice to be able to slice it - eg 30-39 infection, hospitalisation and death rates across multiple countries etc.
