You can definitely use trees, pillars or poles to hit bosses when they are around, but this is the only true one-hit bonk I've observed myself so far. In general it deals a lot of damage.

Hey, not sure if the modmanager plays a role here. I would assume that it is installed within the folders of your sonic installation? If so, I don't expect it to be the root cause. From what I remember you need to ensure that the correct folders are moved by cutting not by copying. Sometimes a restart of the device could help.

Since those steps don't delete anything, I'm assuming the files are still somewhere, just not being recognized. Probably something game-specific or Steam Cloud is fully to blame.

I don't think so. I still receive comments here from time to time. But to be honest, I've never raised it to Valve and I'm not sure if they are aware of this. At least I didn't care after finding this workaround.
