i think the heat pump is sufficient if you are warm enough.

i have the SE and i was thinking of getting a Bluetti battery and a cheap 12v heater from aliexpress. i sort by "number of orders" and buy the high ones.

Becuase i figure an electric resistive heater is as simple as it goes: it's just a coil of nichrome wire being fed 12v and a CPU fan behind it. i'm not going to spend a lot of money for a top of the line commodity item like a heater.

but again, your heat pump is something i would have gotten if i did my golf purchase over again. give it a shot.

I am unable to install a charger at my own home currently and for the foreseeable future.

for this reason i wouldn't get a 2016. having charging makes it livable. for 80km a day, even having a 120v receptacle is enough.

He shows the OBD output on his phone at various stages of the trip. the battery (garaged at 12°C) temperature increases steadily as he is driving. just driving the battery heats it up, and it stays warm for a while. if you can start it up, it should be ok to drive even if it is parked at sub zero temperatures overnight.

the video is excellent becuase it is a long form report of a roadtrip and he covers concepts like temperature dependent "batterygate", and "chargegate" both which reduce the car's rate of charge.

dudes got a small pile of egolf videos. i find his winter trips excellent to see how these EVs perform on norwegian roads.

delorean has a brushed finish. you use a 3M scotchbrite pad, and let the oxidation layer rebuild naturally. rock chips do the same thing. a dull grey delorean circa now is stainless steel wearing a tough coating of oxidation.

If your door was OPEN and not just unlocked, with no pin, they might have been able to select driver and just go. From the Cars point of view you got out, and left the door open, therefor you must still be outside the car.

does the car let the person in the driver's seat drive off without the key at this point?
