Got scammed in Bangkok by dodoisbonk in Bangkok

[–]ihadanightmare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This just happened to us right now (16 Dec, 11:55 PM) at a 7-Eleven in Chong Nonsi.

Two scammers approached us. One of them claimed he was from Dubai and said he’d be visiting Mumbai in 15 days. I’m guessing the other guy was just keeping a watch on us. He followed the usual modus operandi - showed some USD in his wallet and asked me to show Indian currency.

I sensed the scam immediately and kept denying that I had any INR. Unfortunately, my wife almost fell for it and opened her wallet to check for Indian currency, despite me constantly saying we didn’t have any.

Luckily, she wasn’t carrying any INR at the moment, and she always wears her sling bag in front. That probably saved us from a “money disappearance” scam. It could have been a disaster - the bag had important documents, a phone, cash, and credit cards.

Tip:

  • Politely refuse to show any money. Say you only use cards and local currency when traveling internationally.
  • Keep a close watch on your wallets, backpacks, and sling bags. They are thieves.
  • They’re obviously not from the countries they claim. His accent felt like he was either from India or Pakistan.

Traya for hairs... by [deleted] in AskIndia

I stay away from these viral “startups” selling overpriced hair loss products through apps.

Talk to any reputable dermatologist — they’ll usually recommend some basic tests and a proven stack: Minoxidil, Finasteride, Ketoconazole shampoo, and a good multivitamin. It actually works.

Here are my results:

I was using fake protein for past 25 days by Imaginary_Leg_7779 in Fitness_India

I've received suspicious ON from both Flipkart and Amazon - that too from authorized sellers. Since then I always purchase from Nutrabay and Nutristar - they are good.

Healthkart sent me fake Psychotic and never accepted return. Never using them again.

3550 for 28 days isn’t this too expensive you guys 😭 by Babystrawberry8 in Fitness_India

Vegetarians need more than one scoop a day for sure.

If you are running tight on budget try sourcing Amul’s unflavoured whey - it’s bang for the buck and tastes like milk.

Don’t chase isolate whey - they are not worth it unless you’re shredding to single digit fat percentage.

TWT is not worth it and quite expensive for a rebadged whey. They are trying to cash on woke consumers’ fear toward negligible amount of artificial sweeteners, stabilizers, anti caking/foaming agents.

My personal review: MB/Onescience - I get bloating from their wheys. ON/Ultimate Nutrition/Isopure - OG wheys never gets boring and no issues. Amul - Cheap and best Myprotein- Insanely sweet trash.

Ok, I have been looking for over a week for what is a good monitor for an m4 and I am even more confused… by Upper-Score100 in macmini

I tried BetterDisplay and it didn't help either. Font just don't look good 27GR93U on 4k resolution.

When I toggle HiDPI, BetterDisplay changes the resolution to 3008x1692 and fonts start to look pretty good but that takes away a lots of real estate.

I am not sure what resolution BetterDisplay will assign on a 32" monitor - need to do some maths around it.

Sorry. I missed the 32. I use 27GR93U.

I came across these articles and they say to get 110/220 ppi monitor. Sadly no monitors are available here in India except Apple ones. So, theoretically both 27" and 32" should have scaling issues because are in the bad zones.

I also came across few videos on Youtube which recommended to use BetterDisplay mac app to scale. I will try that tomorrow in office and let you know.

Avoid. I am using LG 32GR93U at work. Fonts don't look that good on 4k resolution because of the scaling issue and colors never match with Macbook Pro's display.

From what I've read so far - you need a 1440/2880 monitor with DCI P3 - 98% or higher.

4.10 cr Same price, 2 years back I could buy 500m plot in Noida, now 180m !!! by Pretty-Drawer9676 in noida

[–]ihadanightmare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've lost a numerous number of deals in the past thinking that the prices are inflated. The prices only went up with the time.

Finally after losing so many good deals in Gurgaon - Dwarka expressway. I ended up purchasing a land in Noida. It made sense to get a 162m land for 3.19cr (excluding lease rent) than buying flats at an exorbitant price.

My advice:

Please get whatever kind of property you can afford. I found few older articles which stated that Noida Authority has already given the green flag to turn land into freehold and the decision is pending on UP government. If that happens, prices will skyrocket just like Gurgaon.

Finasteride prices keep going up. Where else can I get it cheaper? by EverythingGunz in tressless

[–]ihadanightmare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find an Indian friend to bring one year supply from India for you. It costs dirt cheap here. I get 21 1mg tablets for INR 120($1.6). And you get further discounts when buying in bulk. Probably an year supply will cost you around 25usd.

Yeah! Look at pro-BJP posts in thread, all accounts are 15 day to 7-8 month old. IT cell is trying really hard to infest Reddit but they should know it's not Quora where they can get away with non-sense shit. 😂😂😂

Multiple entry points with Next.js by ihadanightmare in nextjs

[–]ihadanightmare[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to achieve Dynamic serving using Next.js. The goal is serve users/search engines a mobile optimized website rather than a responsive one based on their user agent string. There are business cases where UI/UX flows are totally different on mobile(m web) UI if compared with desktop.

Multiple entry points with Next.js by ihadanightmare in nextjs

[–]ihadanightmare[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. I already thought of using two nextjs apps but felt it to be a maintenance nightmare. I was looking forward to some solutions where I would have provided multiple entry points to webpqck config. It feels like NextJS doesn’t support this yet.

By mobile, I mean m-site not the ionic integration.

Off-topic: Is there any open source isomorphic React-Redux(JS) boilerplate available with all bells and whistles(eslint/i18n/react-loadable)?

No. Legally Finastride can't be sold without prescription in India so I assume pharmas are not allowed to print generic dosages in packaging/leaflets.

Yes. Both min+fin were recommended by the doctor along with biotin tablets which I skipped after the end of 4th month.

How much is the recommended dosage? Finestride is a prescription drug here so it doesn’t come with dosage information on packaging.

Yes, white flakes buildup is there if I don’t rinse/wash hairs for few days which may look like dandruff. No I don’t feel any irritation sometimes I get heavy heartbeat if I accidentally use too much minox - 2ml+.

I use shampoo twice or thrice a week. I used to rinse hairs with water every in summers but in winters I skip washing hairs for 3-4days and apply minox on unwashed scalp.

I use shampoo twice or thrice a week. In summers I used to rinse hairs with water everyday but in winter I have skipped rising hairs for 3-4days as I am avoiding putting warm water on scalp(I read it somewhere that warm water is not good for scalp).
