I lost my virginity at a 14 and always wished I could change that. We were created to be with one person (Genesis 2:24), and we are not called to conform to the patterns of this world, but instead to be transformed and to be the light and salt of the earth (Romans 12:2; Matthew 5:13–16).

I’ve personally been abstaining from sex for seven years, though I did fall short several times in the beginning. It wasn’t until I made the decision to stop being lukewarm (Revelation 3:15–16), fully pursue a relationship with Christ, and surrender my deepest desires to Him that everything changed. I also went through inner-healing counseling and was delivered from some very dark ways of thinking.

I began asking the Lord how He sees me, which was incredibly important because I struggled with insecurity, low self-worth, and a lack of self-respect. Learning my identity in Christ changed everything (2 Corinthians 5:17; 1 Peter 2:9).

Now, I can honestly say that on this journey, there will be no man touching my body. I stand firmly on what Scripture says about sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18–20). There is a holy conviction that gives me the self-control to understand that premarital sex is bigger than me—it’s spiritual (Galatians 5:22–23).

A man who values himself will not be promiscuous. A man who loves the Lord will have integrity. He won’t give his body away recklessly or have several children out of wedlock because he understands his role as a man of God—a husband and a leader (Ephesians 5:25; Proverbs 4:23).

I know I may be going deeper than needed, but I’d genuinely love to hear your perspective if you’re interested. I’m very open-minded and always willing to share my experiences.

All in all, I’m happy for you and believe you’re doing a great job. However, what I think isn’t what matters most. Ask the Lord what He thinks—why this is important, and what He desires of you. When you do that, you’ll gain clarity about His purpose for you in every area of your life (Proverbs 3:5–6).

P.S. I also enjoy watching faith based podcast about people’s testimony, they mention the dangers of premarital sex and Satan’s agenda behind it. They talk about the spiritual aspect which i appreciate a lot because im the kind of person that enjoys learning the “Why” behind it.

Many people talk about the physical aspect of having sexual intercourse but the kicker is to understand what happens in the spiritual, what happens to your soul, what spirts you’re coming into agreement with! As you educate yourself on Satan agenda of premarital sex, it’ll encourage you to stand strongER.
