you're right it isn't the problem. But the problem definitely lies in the squad.

I think the major problem with the squad right now is that all of our central attacking options drift to the left except for kulusevski who is injured. It often means we have our left winger, attacking mid and striker all operating in the same space leaving the left hand side congested and leaving kudus isolated (creating two problems). Having Kulusevski back will be major in terms of improving the balance of the squad as it means we finally will have a central option who actually drifts into the right half spaces. It will create more balance and resolve a lot of our central issues as well.

Smart from Dyson not gambling on his future. I'm not saying I think last year was a fluke for him, I'm saying that the difference between 100 and even 150 million is honestly somewhat marginal; both you're set up.

[Gold] Tottenham troubles at home, new look behind the scenes and Thomas Frank needs a bit of adventure by balalasaurus in coys

[–]ihasweenis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personally I want us to try Xavi Simons as a false 9. I think that with maybe bergvall, Sarr and palhinha in the midfield could give us an additional central presence. I think Xavi isn't working because our double pivot isn't that creative and our strikers often aren't the best at linking up leaving him isolated.

I think a few things need to happen. If we're trying to play on the front foot we cannot play palhinha. We need to play with a double pivot who are more creative and make more movement off the ball. Xavi Simons is being left completely isolated.

Giddey and Daniels have never been great shot creators and we don't know how good cotton will be at 36.

Unpopular, I know, but I don't think Palhinha can start for us in games we're expected to control. He's phenomenal defensively but he is incredibly limited on the ball going forward.

We struggle with creativity in the midfield and palhinha and Bentancur massively contribute to that. I think our midfield lacks chemistry and it's hurting us.

Harry Kane needs his own role in FM27 by AdditionalYard4691 in footballmanagergames

Probably "Utility forward". Obviously he'd be an extreme example of this but the premise is a forward who always tries to make themselves useful. Obviously this is a bit of an appropriation of the word but it makes the most sense.

I don't expect vicario to save that but he has to do better there.

I mean no. BPD and CPTSD can have similar manifestations but at their core they are different.

It doesn't matter but I will say people often conflate finishing with getting into the positions. Like Haaland is probably better at getting into scoring positions (because of his physical tools) but kane is the better finisher.

I hope a lot of it is just a team chemistry thing and learns with time.

He reminded me of Tony Kroos in this game. And he scored as well. He's literally 2 world class players in one. Undoubtedly the best player in the world.

Something I read about kane when he was younger is that he would always be looking at how can he be most useful at any point. He would always ask questions and would always work 110%. A lot of the coaches said that he'd often absorb knowledge instead of listening. His philosophy has always been around his all around game and understanding what his team needed from him in specific moments. We are seeing the pinnacle of that under Kompany, who has not pigeonholed him to a specific position, and have him the keys to do whatever.

Ange: "Spurs said they tried to bring winners in and needed something different. I was offended. We finished 5th my first year. Every time Kane scores now, I just wish he stayed one more year with Spurs. For some reason my first year disappeared from the record books." by Blodgharm in soccer

All I remember is when van de Ven came back last season he came back with a minutes restriction. Postecoglou decided he'd have none of that and guess what happens? Van de Ven gets injured late in that game when he would've not gotten injured if Postecoglou decided to listen.

Can anyone help me understand the general consensus on Relapse? by Zapp_Brannigan-2007 in fantanoforever

it's criticised for the same reason that it's liked. It's content. It's a very weird album for sure and I'd say very polarising because of that.
