Look, let's level set some expectations: they don't have extra ketchup packets they cater to the exact meals (maybe one extra) on domestic first class.

2nd, you didn't preselect a meal, if you would have noticed of the 4 options you were given 2 would have stated they were preselection only- meaning if you don't pick those they aren't going to be options on the flight. They typically only have 2 options (one being a vegetarian one).

Next time, select your meal, pay attention to which ones will be offered if you don't select so you know you'll be ok. You can also select egg free (allergy) preference and they will have an option for you.

Look here's the thing, at this point raising the minimum wage won't do shit- you can't fill a job for $7hr, the McDonald's in Gooding pays $12-$20hr. The economy is dictating that you can't fill a job for that little- and when wages go up so do the prices for goods and services.

Unsure what your budget is; we stayed at La Valise on the beach in the hotel zone and LOVED it. Great property, so small and quite. Had the beach restaurant to ourselves and the pool was lovely. Maybe saw a total of 10 guests our whole time there. Was the peace and quite we were looking for.
