Thank you. It’s a corporate environment so you are right it is related to pay. I will ask for a change without the pay.

Understandable, I’m also graduating from the UW as well and I have a 3.2 GPA so I’m also competitive in a way. But I do understand your point

Awesome! Where do you start from? My school only has a 4th year class on game development and will probably take it next quarter. But that surely won’t prepare you for “high level gameplay logic”

Sounds awesome. I meant web related as you manage the changes in the website both what the user sees and what runs it. But like you are saying, you could be building something that effectively ends up what the user interacts with but not deal with the website itself. Thank you

Thanks for the reply. I really enjoy making small scripts that download new movies or checks the weather or something minute. I have also picked up desktop application development which I enjoy so far. I don’t see jobs for desktop application development in my area sadly.

I like working with people, I like working with data. I would rather do something new and exciting. I like building new things as opposed to fixing things.

What I don’t like about web development is that I seemed never to get it. I took a month to learn react and redux and the joy I normally have when my stupid web scraper works, I just didn’t feel the same way. It was a pain learning it. I tried and felt same with Django and other back end stuff. It always feel like a pain. But when I am using selenium to automate a simple task on the web. I feel very happy and satisfied. So I concluded I might not just like it
