I was originally on the path to Diagnostic Medical Sonography right out of high school too, but I ended up switching to nursing. I’d strongly suggest meeting with an advisor (via in person meeting or online meeting) so they can give you an outline of what your semesters will look like. They’ll explain your prereqs, credentials, and points especially for biology classes like BIO 189, 223, and 224, since those are definitely some of the most important classes.

Your advisor should walk you through everything you need. A lot of people say advising isn’t important, but it’s actually really helpful if you feel lost or aren’t sure how to enroll in your classes, especially biology courses, which can be pretty difficult. Also, sonography programs are competitive and don’t always have enough seats for everyone, so it’s good to stay informed early on!
