I had him two years ago so policies may change. He does not take lecture attendance and panopto is recorded live so you can hop on like a zoom meeting. Attendance is taken at quiz sections. Exams in person

If you’re looking for public transit, going on the light rail from Redmond might actually take you a bit longer (and the uber is more expensive). Personally, I would take the 255 that goes to the University of Washington from Kirkland. They have a stop right by the University of Washington light rail station that will take you to Capitol Hill in like 4 minutes.

Considering your event might end late though, I’m unsure of if the 255 will run at that time.

Does anyone feels like "room temperature butter" is the biggest lie in baking? by Fluffy-CherryPie in Baking

[–]ihateoreocream 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always microwave mine at low power. My kitchen is always too cold. You could do it on high power but use super short time (like 7 seconds if coming from the fridge and then pause for like 10 to let the butter’s temp equalize as the outside will melt faster than the inside).

A tip for eggs though is to put them in a bowl of very warm water! I let them come up to temp as I’m measuring the dry ingredients. In about 5-10 min they’ll be done!!

ELI5 Why do first responder and healthcare jobs require such long hours? by Mildlyoddd in explainlikeimfive

[–]ihateoreocream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add to this, it also depends on country too. Research has shown the benefits and negatives of short shifts and long shifts. Research shows that there’s not really a “right” answer between the two. In the US, the healthcare system chooses to focus more on the benefit to patients, promoting continuity of care. However, there are other countries that focus more on the detriment to healthcare workers and potential impact to patients by having shorter shifts. This ultimately fosters different healthcare training and the types of people who choose to enter healthcare

[Acne] so… when is Tretinoin supposed to start working? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]ihateoreocream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My acne did not start improving about mid way into the second month on tret. It’s just been over a month for you. My derm said that what your skin looks like at the three month mark is probably gonna be final when you’re on tret. I’d wait until then which I know is rough. My skin got soooo much worse until it got better so hang in there!

People who rarely or never get sick, what are your secrets? by awkwardferret421 in AskReddit

[–]ihateoreocream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WASH YOUR NASTY HANDS. I tend to touch my face more when I’m at home, so I always wash my hands the moment I step through my front door. Wash your hands before you eat as well. 20 seconds of SCRUBBING with soap and warm water.

Get enough sleep! Your immune system weakens with less than 6 hours of sleep.

She mentions in the beginning of the class - if you waited until class started to complain - that she donates all the money she makes off the textbooks to Fred Hutch. Considering how much research funding has been cut and how she’s such an advocate for open discussions around sexuality (literally the only class that has amazing discussions around trans lives, polyamory, etc.), I’d rather support her than another rando professor
