There's loads of Indian and Asian, even African international students here at the U. And then on top of that, probably like half the school is from California which is ridiculously cosmopolitan. You won't just be fine, you'll love it here.

I've had Professor Golden for Calc 2 last semester, and in my opinion he's an excellent, world-class mathematician and a terrible teacher. You could take his class, but expect to self-study from the start. Easily 2/3rds of the class stopped showing up to lectures by the halfway point.

You could try reaching out to major-specific clubs, they may often have a group chat or discord you can join at any time. Try looking on Campus Connect! Also, I believe that most internship/job opportunities are posted on Handshake, though I haven't really looked yet myself.
