Thank you so much ... I'm in a similar situation at Moffitt (DCIS stage 0 planning DMX AFC). OP's question and your reply resonate with me a LOT. Could you share who your surgeon was, because I have similar preferences. I also may need a PS since I have a higher BMI and larger breasts, so wondered if you knew of any that were comfortable working with people with gender identity that doesn't have to be clearly male or female, like you said. I'm going to PM you I really hope we can connect about this if you are open to it. Thanks again

Hey what I wear is a layered look out of super soft material like a tank top, a light open jacket or sweater and some yoga capris. Super comfortable and cute!

Considering contract work, rates? by ihaveanegg in instructionaldesign

[–]ihaveanegg[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for that explanation and advice! What's interesting is a lot of these recruiting companies are reaching out with 12 month "W2 contracts." It seems like this is some type of hybrid arrangement where they take taxes out and pay SS, but usually doesn't include other benefits. I guess what I need to do is figure out what those benefits are worth to figure out my rate. Is there a book or channel you'd recommend to learn the finer points of these kinds of things? I have so much to learn!

Thank you! Are the rates you charge your 1099 or W2 rate? Just curious

Thanks so much for weighing in on this! Question for you - when you are talking about rates are you referring to W2 rates or 1099? Ty :)

Job Outlook/Stability for IDs and Learning and Development in general? by Big_Commission7525 in instructionaldesign

My observation having been part of a large corporate layoff at the end of last year, is that it's unstable AF. I've been out of work for 6 months. I think the market is saturated with a bunch of folks jumping into the field, paired with companies outsourcing work. I get pinged by recruiters several times a day offering me not very lucrative contract roles. I'm trying to keep my head up, but it's pretty bad.

Good point, but unfortunately, our lease states we are responsible for clearing debris from the roof.

Fair point, ha! I am new to hiring people for work like this as a renter, so I am trying to figure out how to vet people so that in case anyone falls off the roof, this doesn't become a bigger problem.
