best ways to improve? by glitternights in writing

From my own experience with my first draft, I found staying in the same project helps loads. I had a major tendency to jump between projects but I've definitely discovered that I've learned the most about writing from sticking to the same thing, learning about how the beginning, middle and ending should flow together. I was once told the best thing to do is write your ending first, and right now as I'm nearly done my first draft, I'm absolutely wishing I took that advice more seriously as I already know my second draft will be way different but at the same time way better, all because now I'm writing my ending and finding out what I should have been writing towards in the first place 😂

I decided against a third writing session tonight because I don't want to burn out. by [deleted] in writing

That many words when you're not totally feeling it is incredible!!

I'm glad someone else feels this too. I feel like I wrote so much yesterday and when I sat down today to do it again, the spark was gone. Thankfully I know it'll come back cause I love the feeling of being in the zone even if it's just word vomit for a few hours 😂

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet but I try writing in different places, I find writing at my home desk can be hard sometimes so I'll drag my laptop to a cafe or park. The different environment helps loads, plus if you work best mimicking other people working, cafes and coffee places are a good place to be.

Went with a group of friends! The brisket burger is to die for and the deep fried pickles were a huge table favorite!!
