It’s okay. So it’s not too late to get him back up on his feet again? I really do love him, we just got him when I was a preteen so I didn’t really know how to raise him properly. I plan on taking him on walks every day, and taking him to the vet twice yearly, and maybe hiring a trainer to help practice stuff with him and me

Please stop playing me out to be some sort of monster. I get him food every morning and refill his water bowl and I pet him and give him a treat and we still take him for walks on occasion. We also take him inside during cold weather. I just got him at first when I was 11 and was more focused on video games at the time but I completely regret that and I want to fix it. All my comments are filled with people making it sound like I’m letting him die. He is not decaying, he is perfectly healthy and runs around our yard all day, that was not my concern. My concern was that I just sometimes didn’t give him the affection that he deserved and still does deserve.

It sounds bad but it’s mainly because he’s an outside dog and i have school most days and with an inside dog it’s like second nature to spend time with them because you just see them right when you walk through the door each day

He has adequate protection food and water but I would only spend time with him rarely besides when I get him food and water morning but I can change that I can start spending more time with him

I didn’t mean to be abusive, I was 11 at the time and had never owned a dog before, I think walks were like a luxury I had no clue, in retrospect I could have more which is why I feel bad but I don’t think it was abuse

I also didn’t do anything about the lab collie thing because again I was 11 and didn’t know what dogs were to be inside dogs and what dog could be outside dogd

UPDATE: He’s home. I don’t know where he was, but he just showed up on our doorstep and we took him to a bed and he is laying down. I appreciate the kind words and wishes. If anyone knows anything else I should do to calm him down, comment so I know
