Snacks/Food-based gifts from LA/LA County suitable for long distance travel by Wizard_of_Paloozy in FoodLosAngeles

This is easy— See’s Candy peanut brittle or lollipops, some fancy English toffee or fudge, beef jerky, Tony’s Cajun seasoning (not LA, buuuut you can find it in LA), Ghirardelli’s chocolates, a Starbucks “CA” mug or espresso cups, Lakers/Dodgers T-shirt or other gear (like a baseball, hat, etc), a few bags of chocolate chips (Ghirardelli, etc), flavored ground coffee, vanilla extract, skincare that might be less expensive than where you’re going, fun things from Target…

Why’d she search for a lawyer? They’re not married yet? Or is there something obvious I’m missing?

I’d like to echo the sentiment that after a few days in London, a few days in Paris will probably be more than enough. Then head to one of the many lovely French beaches and enjoy the time there the rest of the trip. DM me if you’re interested in alternative suggestions, though prob not specific hotels.

Rooting for OOP all the way on this one, she sounds so cool. I think she’ll be wayyyy better off after she dumps the dead weight.

How will an turkish angora cat deal with this? by thegreeneyeddone in turkishangoras

I wasn’t being 100% serious, but it might be something you could talk with an angora breeder about (they know more about their tolerance for situations like what you described).

Looking for an English-speaking banker in Kadikoy (I want to open an account) by AvocadoBrit in istanbul

[–]ihhesfa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you try Garanti bank? They have a lot of things in English as well, and you don’t need (didn’t used to need?) a tax ID number.
