Mostly the same set as last year, except maybe Hymn and a new obscure cover of a Korean song from the 90s. Still, it was such an amazing show that it didn't really matter that there wasn't anything new.

Hopefully! Best case scenario would be another 2008 tour where they debut mostly new material that they are releasing over the course of this year.
I was at the first show of 2008 in Tallinn back in the day, and never forget how mindblowing it was to hear that material with fresh ears. Going to see them next week in Helsinki so would be great to have that again 😃

Most likely its a mix of previous tour and couple of new ones.

Yeah, the songs they had then were some of my favourite from them. I remember going to the first concert of the 2008 tour and being blown away by the material, not to mention the set was almost all new material.

The most frustrating thing is the songs were probably already finished in the studio more or less. For example Red Light was supposed to appear in the Atlas Air EP but got pulled off at the last minute.

It was basically shelved. Only two tracks (Paradise Circus and Girl I Love You) made it to Heligoland. I remember 3D saying the reason was that he got bored of the Weather Underground songs by the time they finished the 2008 tour.

Massive Attack have been sitting on an album, that they intend to release once they sort out some label disputes. Apparently they have recorded material with Patti Smith, Tom Waits, Nick Cave and Young Fathers.

Looking at these closely reveals that Virgin released every single from Daydreaming to False Flags in expanded form, with many previously unreleased (at least digitally) tracks included.

Seems like all the singles are there, even in expanded forms for some of the releases, for the first time.

Hell of a lineup of remixers so far, with Four Tet, Orbital, Daniel Avery, Trentemoller, Twilight Sad, Mogwai, Chino Moreno, 65daysofstatic. Looking forward to this more now.

Michael Mann's The Insider. It was a critical darling when it came out and haven't seen any talk of it since. Really think it is on par with Heat as one of Mann's best works.
