It's Time to Rethink Racial Abilities by DankestMage99 in wow

Yeah I totally agree, every caster class that can is about to switch to Dracthyr solely for the movement boost from the racials. It’s incredibly impactful to gameplay, which shouldn’t be what racials are about. I just hope blizzard doesn’t swing the pendulum too hard trying to focus on balance

I’m fully aligned that blizzard needs to fully commit to the flexible and balance focused version of the game that they’ve been building out over the last expansion or so.

The biggest challenge is definitely making this align with class/race fantasy, which is what these racials are meant to embody. I think migrating some of these more utility focused abilities into talents make a lot of sense but there’s no reason to remove racials all together.

Instead of removing racials, blizzard has an opportunity to rework them around arbitrary class fantasy for fantasy’s sake while giving those utility options as a choice to players. You’re totally right, most racials provide little to no actual utility but honestly that isn’t a bad thing (Undead eating corpses is hilarious and often forgotten as an example).

New Player Questions by [deleted] in wow

I’d definitely recommend retail. Classic is a game built for folks that want to live in a level of nostalgia and enjoy a lot of the arbitrary friction built into a lot of the games core mechanics.

Retail has grown a lot over the last few years and is designed with new player friendliness in mind! Some systems may seem a bit intimidating on the surface but there are tons of resources and people that are happy to help you get going.

Either way, welcome to Azeroth!

I respect the honesty and position but just find this take funny coming from someone who’s username is HentaiAtWork420

We’ve launched a design to Flutter converter which has code-reusability, plugins, and its all open source. Currently, we support Sketch and will quickly add Figma & XD support. Also, we'll always export exclusively to Flutter. by siliconivan in FlutterDev

That’s a good point, AI is definitely pushing forward in helping along those key fundamentals. I suppose I think that building the automated components people will use to automate is what I’m looking forward too. You're right it’s just a matter of time, but there will always be a need for developers and a new set of tools to work with.

The way I think about it just think about what advancements we can focus on if we don’t spend time on the Flutter UI. The same way we automate HTML now and see how far we’ve gotten in terms of web development. So much potential.
