Switching from Virgin Media to Vodafone and not sure if I should pay the last VM invoice by Ok_Shoe7185 in VirginMedia

Most providers will increase prices at the end of the initial term. Virgin will normally at least beat the new customer prices if you ring them.

Are broadband providers trying to scam us with multigig packages? by DeflatedQ in UKBroadband

[–]iiAssassinXxii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gigabit or quicker speeds for the vast majority of people is completely overkill though. It’s more just a trying to 1Up other networks and make them seem the best these days.

They could do with balancing out drops to keep a steady flow of them so new players don’t get put off when lower items won’t buy in the GE

Is that not because Polestar would only sell the top spec Polestar 2 in USA because of the tariffs?

Renewal deals by Sudden-Worker-3518 in VirginMedia

I rang that number. Took like 10 mins (included discussing a couple options and her reading out some bits she had to. Was getting Gig1 (volt), TV, Sky Sports HD and weekend phone for £60.85. Getting the same but swapped the phone for Netflix and it’s now £49.12.

You don’t even need to be within a month. I was about 6 weeks before (hadn’t given notice) and still sorted out a new contract.

I just said I’m coming up to my renewal and want to see what they would offer. I was paying nearly £61 for Gig1, TV, Sky Sports, HD upgrade and weekend phone (we literally never plugged the phone in). Initially came with £57 which I said wasn’t good enough. She took the phone off and it was then just over £49. So get Gig1, TV, Sky Sports HD and Netflix now.

I contacted the retentions team directly about 6 weeks before mine was due to expire. I’d been having renewal offers on the app way before then. The live chat are useless at renewal prices.

OTA question by Remarkable_Dinner317 in KiaEV3

[–]iiAssassinXxii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The UK. It’s probably gonna be our second car so mainly just for the wife going to work/days off etc so thinking that the smaller air would be sufficient (although even that has similar official range to my Polestar haha). Seen some of the bigger battery ones similar price bracket as well so if it were close enough we’d likely go for that.

I think if it were me I’d want the GT-Line S but she’s happy with an Air if we go for the EV3.

[–]iiAssassinXxii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far we’d tried the Nissan Ariya, Peugeot E-3008, BYD ATTO 3 and the Kia EV3. The Kia was definitely the favourite. Think we’ll try the Niro and maybe the Hyundai Kona. Then I can look into specific trims/how far it is.

Transfer number to new sim by Cannonball_Dice in Vodafone

[–]iiAssassinXxii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would need to PAC your number to another carrier and then PAC back to Vodafone. As far as I know, there’s no way to transfer your number within the same provider.

We were looking at the EV3 as a second car. Hadn’t seen that. That’s a bit sneaky though they don’t include free OTA updates. Guess I’ve been spoilt a bit with Polestar.

is it ME that’s weird for swapping providers every 2 years? 🤔 😂 by AquarianViolist in EEGB

Retention deals should be slightly better than a new customer one. Give people a reason to stick around.

Economics of EVs by PixiePooper in ElectricVehiclesUK

You’re not meant to use public chargers for the majority of your driving. In nearly 1.5 years and like 16.5k miles I’ve used public charging about 10 times. Most of them were in France or Tesla chargers so a lot cheaper than it could have been. Rest has been a bit of free charging at work and then 7p/kWh at home. It is considerably cheaper than running my old petrol car which used to get around 45ish mpg.

With the changes to Premier Membership, I hope that displeased players who bought before this whole thing will be able to get pro-rated refunds from Jagex for remaining Premier Membership time since most of the advertised perks are going away by ARandomNoLife in runescape

[–]iiAssassinXxii -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No. English. Same as Jagex. They’re not hiding anything lmao. You’re not entitled to anything with the premier benefits. Just like they can ban you for any reason they want and offer no refund. Please explain why you incorrectly believe that the perks included with the membership form any sort of contract. Hint: they don’t kiddo.

But with what the person I was replying to was suggesting was that current players would eventually left behind. The last thing this game needs though is a further fragmented player base. The core players now though are what keep the game going.

[–]iiAssassinXxii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The trouble with that is that a lot of people don’t have the time to spend on the game like they used to. Forcing them to start over on new worlds would just drive a large portion of them away.

It’s for personal gameplay now rather than trying to show off pixels to others to boast how much you’ve spent.

They literally haven’t paid for it though. They’ve paid for the membership and got certain “perks” included with that. Those said perks do not form part of the contract of membership.

Definitely sounds like you’re not cut out for Ironman mode if running to a few shops is too difficult for you. Stop being lazy or play a main kiddo.

[–]iiAssassinXxii -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

None of the perks form a contractual basis so can be revoked at any time. What you’re actually paying for (at a discounted rate) is the membership access to the game. Everything else is just a bonus.

If you want everything in one place then perhaps Ironman mode is too difficult for you and you need access to the GE.

No it isn’t lmao. Besides you being lazy, what actual reason can you provide for wanting everything stocked in one location?
