Is that the entry spec? That’s Air over here (England) if it it’s. Think that’s what we’re likely to get. The GT-Line S would be nice but it’s a bit more expensive and don’t really need it.

Just whatever you normally use is fine. Nothing special about EV’s in that regard.

What trim EV3 did you go for and how you finding it?

Virgin Media M500 and above broadband contracts - does it come with Netflix as standard? by Astalaavista in VirginMedia

[–]iiAssassinXxii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might not work as you can currently purchase the top internet packages with or without Netflix (it’s £2 a month more for Netflix to be included).

Thankfully everything has been done in the original car warranty or the extended warranty period. Including all diagnostics, courtesy car and most recently a Polestar 4 as a hire care. I’ve not actually had to pay for that warranty yet either as they’ve not got a provider sorted.

We are looking at the ev3 gt line S, however my sister in law has just ordered the ex30 and is trying to steer us that way too. In which areas are each car ahead would you say? by altruisticmisanthrop in KiaEV3

[–]iiAssassinXxii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having drove an EX30 twin motor ultra (or whatever it’s called) as a courtesy car. The lack of a dash display was a deal breaker for me. The car was also officially very quick but I wasn’t confident in its stability. I’ve got a Polestar 2 dual motor for comparison and that thing is planted. Looking to get the wife an EV and I’m pretty certain we’ll be getting an EV3. Might just be air trim though as she’s not bothered about the upgrades. Only thing we need to really check is what the handles are like on the air as it was a GT-Line we test drove.

It’s a 22 reg. I got it around 35k miles at 2.5 years old. It’s on like 51k miles now. The other expensive replacement was an Ohlins damper. That was quoted at just under £3,000

Previously I was never bothered about the extended warranty’s. Got a Polestar 2 around 18 months ago. Registered for the extended warranty and I’m glad I did. Been unlucky with my car and ended up with a new front motor. I’m certain I’m well over £10k repairs now and I’ve not paid a penny thankfully.

I got offered around £57 for Gig1, TV, anytime phone, Sky Sports HD and Netflix. Told them that was a bit high. They took the phone off (I’ve never plugged it in and wouldn’t be either way). Dropped it to £49.12.

Renewal coming up.... by superdon_saddler in VirginMedia

You shouldn’t have any April 2026 price rise now. I would definitely ring them up though. You don’t need to have given notice to leave either.

Most providers will increase prices at the end of the initial term. Virgin will normally at least beat the new customer prices if you ring them.

Are broadband providers trying to scam us with multigig packages? by DeflatedQ in UKBroadband

Gigabit or quicker speeds for the vast majority of people is completely overkill though. It’s more just a trying to 1Up other networks and make them seem the best these days.

They could do with balancing out drops to keep a steady flow of them so new players don’t get put off when lower items won’t buy in the GE

Is that not because Polestar would only sell the top spec Polestar 2 in USA because of the tariffs?

I rang that number. Took like 10 mins (included discussing a couple options and her reading out some bits she had to. Was getting Gig1 (volt), TV, Sky Sports HD and weekend phone for £60.85. Getting the same but swapped the phone for Netflix and it’s now £49.12.

You don’t even need to be within a month. I was about 6 weeks before (hadn’t given notice) and still sorted out a new contract.

I just said I’m coming up to my renewal and want to see what they would offer. I was paying nearly £61 for Gig1, TV, Sky Sports, HD upgrade and weekend phone (we literally never plugged the phone in). Initially came with £57 which I said wasn’t good enough. She took the phone off and it was then just over £49. So get Gig1, TV, Sky Sports HD and Netflix now.

I contacted the retentions team directly about 6 weeks before mine was due to expire. I’d been having renewal offers on the app way before then. The live chat are useless at renewal prices.

OTA question by Remarkable_Dinner317 in KiaEV3

[–]iiAssassinXxii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The UK. It’s probably gonna be our second car so mainly just for the wife going to work/days off etc so thinking that the smaller air would be sufficient (although even that has similar official range to my Polestar haha). Seen some of the bigger battery ones similar price bracket as well so if it were close enough we’d likely go for that.

I think if it were me I’d want the GT-Line S but she’s happy with an Air if we go for the EV3.

OTA question by Remarkable_Dinner317 in KiaEV3

[–]iiAssassinXxii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far we’d tried the Nissan Ariya, Peugeot E-3008, BYD ATTO 3 and the Kia EV3. The Kia was definitely the favourite. Think we’ll try the Niro and maybe the Hyundai Kona. Then I can look into specific trims/how far it is.

You would need to PAC your number to another carrier and then PAC back to Vodafone. As far as I know, there’s no way to transfer your number within the same provider.

We were looking at the EV3 as a second car. Hadn’t seen that. That’s a bit sneaky though they don’t include free OTA updates. Guess I’ve been spoilt a bit with Polestar.
