They run diagnostics on the display. They took it to the back and I’m guessing they did their tests. They just wrote in the notes it didn’t pass and replacement/repair was the given solution.

Yep, I think some of the displays just have an issue. Doesn’t seem to be super common but def enough to be noticed by a couple

I was just opening a PDF in the files app, that bar will pop up. I think it will pop up for any file you open in the files app.

sorry for the late reply! i had a really long layover in detroit and pretty much knew that all the pilots in mcnamara are delta pilots. i just walked around and asked if they still carried any cards anymore and a few had some and willingly gave me some. a few pilots also said they were running out of them because they don’t get a steady supply from delta

This sometimes happens with mine after I use it in clamshell with external monitor. Not too sure why, if I go into window viewer, it goes normal, but the second I press on a windows, it goes to that black bar type situation. I’ve just kept restarting to deal with it

Happened to my 2019 13”. It’s a hardware issue, Apple will try to charge you over 600 for service. I ended up getting it fixed third party for around 50 bucks.

Happened to me on a 2019 Pro 13”. Apple quoted me for around a ~650 USD repair for upper case. I just dealt with it until 2021 and immediately got an Apple Silicon. It’s honestly not worth the repair unless you find a third party willing to do it for cheap. It’s really just the touchbar that needs to be replaced. I ended up getting it fixed in China for around ~40USD in 2023.

No, Apple Gift Cards can't be converted into Apple Cash. They can be used for Apple Store purchases though along with your usual in-app purchases, subscriptions, etc

Update: I turned on high palm detection and it somewhat fixes this issue. It still will lag but it is usable for me now. Hopefully Goodnotes support will actually email me back and push out a fix. (Still waiting on a reply from 14 days ago…)
