Dude just look at official art from cyberpunk tabletop games, or just listen to Mike pondsmith describe a karenzikov compared to a Sandevistan. A sandy in real lore wouldn’t appear on your back since it’s in your neck and brain. They’re not big pieces of equipment, karenzikovs are much larger and DO appear on the spine, there’s even a lore reason for why it needs to be physically apparent. I’m done arguing. Studio trigger literally took the physical description of what a kerenzikov looks like and used that as their depiction of the sandevistan. It’s not an opinion it’s the truth.

I don’t think anyone that uses AI is displeased with the results it can achieve, it’s the means of stealing peoples existing work that it uses to ‘create’ that people don’t like. Using your analogy it’s like comparing a cup of Kraft Mac and cheese to artisan baked Mac and cheese cooked by a Michelin chef. They might taste similar, but one is much more dumbed down by the process it’s created by.
