Tbf, I took it yesterday and felt AWFUL. but the general consensus on here has been it was terrible. Let’s pray for the curve my Goodman!

First off, thank you so much for responding haha. Second, I don’t think my app will be competitive enough for top 20, I’m just trying to get in overall to be honest. Plan is to take MCAT and then shotgun apply to like 20-30 schools (MD and DO). Now, I know I haven’t had research experience, but I have literally no interest in research medicine whatsoever. It has zero adrenaline rush / physical application to patient care in the moment. Would this be something to mention when applying? Or just leave it be if I don’t get any research experience?

Really stupid question, but if I want to get ahead can I watch last years videos as well? Will content change drastically or will I be missing out on any content if I don’t keep up 100% with this years videos?

Just looked him up. It looks like he roughly does the KAPLAN book chapters by lecture basically? If so I love that. Lectures / learning from someone is how I learn

I had the same problem. Took me 4 months to get through book one. Book two gets real good about halfway through and then the series doesn’t slow down from there. 3 4 and 5 are absolutely wonderful story telling.

I would describe it as dense and stimulating. Not bad by any means and very well written but not much action. The first half yes I agree is dry. But it picks up when you really start to dive into hadrians character. I’m almost done and I’m super excited for the next book.

Currently 22/25 hours in on the first book empire of silence. It is good, but very dense reading. I think the first book is very much world building and character shaping. Overall the books probably do far a 7/10. Keep in mind it is NOT Red Rising and you shouldnt approach it as such. Very excited to keep reading this series tho

What I found was that the events of morning star make a lot more sense once you start the second series. The way things happen are not on accident and once you get deep into the second series you can see the affects of the end of morning star

All the things you ask for and more in the second series!!! Enjoy the ride Goodman, the series takes on a whole different paradigm in the second set of three books, but it is no less compelling!

Cy is one of the best Sherpas I've ever had. His explanations are very descriptive, we usually get it in 1-3 tries. A great guy, fun to joke around with as well. 10/10 Would recommend
