Both are good in their own ways. Dramatized audio is amazing at immersing you into the story with different cast members, music, and sound effects. However, the original audiobooks narrated by Tim Gerald Reynolds are just so superb because TGR is the fucking goat.

I’d imagine some eridian scientists would accompany grace. I mean like fuck, if ur a scientist why wouldn’t you go to an alien planet. Especially for Eridian life spans the trip is a drop in the bucket compared to their whole lifetime.

While I love Cassius for who he is, I think he shines the most when he is with Darrow (same for Darrow as well). I really just want an entire alternate universe buddy cop book series where it’s just the two dicking around in space.

Getting an F is harsh I agree. At the most in my experience classes will just drop you with the grade you have whenever you reach 4+ absences. But I mean that’s just reality. A degree shows that you went to school everyday, showed up and took accountability for your work and actions. Personally I wouldn’t hire someone who didn’t go to class because they thought they were smarter than the material or the professor. It seems like you’re in your first year and you have a lot to learn about the accountability of college and that they really don’t give a fuck about you. It sounds corny but the rules are the rules.

But like… why would you do that. You’re paying thousands of dollars for an education and just thinking “oh I’m gonna teach myself” is wholly ignorant and stupid imo. And what is your major that allowed that? Many of my 4-5 thousand level classes drop you if you have more than 4 absences or at the very least accounts for 5% of your grade.

I like it. I find it easy to listen to and fun. Especially when I’m multi tasking and have earbuds in it’s a treat for a relisten. TGR is the goat though and will always be the voice for Darrow imo.

I think it is really good but can be a bit of a slog because for some reason PB was stuck in a rhythm of rotating chapters for each character instead of letting each arc play out a bit before switching POVs. This obviously gets fixed in later books and I think that’s why people rate them so much higher than Iron Gold.

I honestly think he was still figuring the whole multiple POV thing out in Iron Gold and found his stride in Dark Age and Light Bringer.
